4 years ago Brian Cashman said that Bryce Harper wasn't a fit for the Yankees because they had Aaron Hicks, Jacoby Ellsbury, Brett Gardner and Clint Frazier. He also said it wasn't realistic to play Bryce Harper at first base. The Yankees signed Cashman to an extension in December. The Yankees failed to make the postseason. The Yankees have a payroll larger than the US National Debt. Bryce Harper is good at baseball.

And they will continue to draw 13 fans every game until the Yankees and Red Sox show up and the Northeast transplants come out of the wood work. It's baffling to me that all of Florida doesn't give a flying ***** about baseball. The Marlins have won 2 rings, with Cubans on the team, Miami still doesn't care. The Rays have been good-ish for several years, can't get a 1/4 capacity crowd for the postseason.

The best darn boxer on the face of the planet put on an absolute clinic tonight. Terrance 'Bud' Crawford absolutely dominated Errol 'Tue Truth' Spence in their welterweight unification bout. Bud is now the first man to ever be Undisputed in 2 weight classes. He beat the breaks off of Spence for 8.5 rounds, flooring him 3 times, Spence had previously never been knocked down in his career, until the ref had seen enough and called it. Total domination. He's the absolute best boxer in the world. In other news, the UFC event tonight was pretty good. Lots of KO's and submissions. 2 head kick KO's. An all-around fun night for watching guys beat the crap out of each other.
