  1. I was crying laughing at the French goalie during PK's. That looked like Larry David wrote it.
  2. It will never snow in north eastern Pennsylvania ever again. Ever! All it does is *****in rain and slush. Every "winter" here just gets shittier. We went from getting 60“ of snow (which is terrible) per year when I moved here, down to less than 30" last year. Every year is worse than the last. If it wasn't for the lack of sunlight and the fact that my wife would leave me, I'd move to Alaska! Meanwhile, Tahoe has gotten over 7 feet of snow in the last 14 days.
  3. I know it's wrong but I can't stop laughing!
  4. Oh, it gets better. Saw multiple Twitter conspiracies on how they were going to rig it! Rig the baseball lottery? Baseball! The sport where only three(3) number 1 overall picks are in the Hall of Fame. (Griffey Jr. in '16, Chipper in '18 and Harold Baines in ’19) The sport where if you don't like your draft slot, you don't have to sign and can enter the draft up to 4 more times. The sport where you can't trade draft picks! The sport where the draft matters the absolute least of any sport ever... ...so, it's probably rigged.
  5. We played lacrosse most days in highschool. Or we'd swim/dive. But yes, hitting was out of control. But gym was 9th period for a reason.
  6. I stand corrected. I've definitely heard THAT phrasing!
  7. "...do the splits" I've been listening to the English language for almost 4 decades, and I'd never heard "do the splits" until the last few months. What is this nonsense? I hear it all the time now.
  8. Surf is up? In the north Atlantic in late November? What in the sam hell is the water temperature right now? It's gotta be near 40, right? I'm not sure what that is in Canadian temperature. Your ways are strange to me. 😉
  9. I'll reword it. The US plays boring soccer.
  10. The US's first match started out fun. It's was pretty darn watchable for the first half. Then the second half happened and oh my goodness, what a drag. Then the second match, I feel like the whole purpose of that game wasn't to win, but to keep England from winning. And ya know what? Mission Accomplished! But, yuck!
  11. Lol, they get their ass kicked all period, end up with a 2 on 1 and Zemgus fires it off the boards. These boys owe Anderson a beer.
  12. I figured it wasn't any good because after big hoopla over it actually being made, I actually forgot it had been released. Lol
  13. Safety upgrades: eh, not really. You're still nailed to 2 planks of wood. Tech upgrades: absolutely! Ski design from when I started skiing in the late 80s, through the mid 90s was pretty much the same as when my dad was skiing in the 60's. The bindings we're a bit better, but the skiis were all straight and long and heavy. From the mid 90s to the mid 00s they loved cheap, cap construction, but they really started to get the shape of the ski down to a science. 2010 to now, the gear is fantastic. So, do you need new skiis? Probably not. But buying new toys is the reason you have toys in the first place! You're definitely going to need new boots though. I don't make the rules, but 20 year old boots are totally packed out and s***ty beyond belief.
  14. Montage, Camelback and Elk. I'm down in Pennsylvania.
  15. Good ole stone hands got bailed out.
  16. I won't get on snow until after Thanksgiving. We have had some nice snowmaking weather over the past 3 days though, so that's good. I'll hit my 3 local hills about 70 times this year. I'll get up to Gore at least twice. Might even go home and ski Woods Valley or Snow Ridge. I'll hit Whiteface if The Slides open this year. No plans to hit VT, NH or ME this year, but ya never know. Anything within a 7 hour drive is perfectly doable. Favorite Destinations: Gore, Killington, Wildcat, Sunday River, Whiteface (in good snow years, it's unbelievable)
  17. Can we stop with James Cook yet? And Gabe Davis has stone hands.
