  1. He's got a much smaller ice surface to play on in Rochester. Sounds like it'll be an adjustment based upon this scouting report
  2. Can't count the number of open practices I attended during the 70's. Those Christmas break practices likewise filled the Aud with 16,433 children and accompanying parents. Somehow, the scrimmage virtually always ended in a tie
  3. Once upon a time we had Bowman, who won Cups
  4. You must remember the full page pullout poster from the Courier-Express sunday comics! I had many of them, including Buffalo Braves, adorning my bedroom walls
  5. 62 First Sabres game at the Aud in Spring 1971 against the Blues - saw Bert set the rookie goal record, which he'd hold for a year. Couldn't fully comprehend why all the "good" players I'd seen play for the Bisons the year before weren't with the Buffalo hockey team anymore.
  6. There were several different options including the Buffalo “Mugwumps”, “Buzzing Bees”, and “Flying Zeppelins”.
  7. Unavailable since Mom died in 2011
  8. I usually listen on radio. Watching tonight - Levi’s lack of rebound control is disconcerting. Is this a regular issue or a bad night?
  9. I still remember the memorial I put up on the school bulletin board
  10. When I saw the headline I assumed someone still had their Sabrejak.
  11. Tracy Pratt or Paul Terbenche???
  12. They give me bad vibes too. I was in the oranges when they eliminated the Sabres in ‘79 and Kasparitius is a bad dream BUT they’re no B’s in my opinion
  13. A great year to graduate from college
  14. Stunning statement for a Sabres fan prior to an apocalypse removing the Bruins from the face of the earth
  15. Anyone who cares to google it may prove me wrong, but I’d be willing to bet he’s the only one who played for the KC Scouts and Atlanta flames
  16. Billy Sheehan also played with Van Halen on some tours
  17. I'm in the same boat. When I tell the story, people wonder if I still have the tickets - heck no, I was a student and returned them for the $20/$25 they cost
  18. The best cover band of the 70’s in Buffalo was ***** Robin
  19. Harvey & Corky’s Stage One
  20. Wasn’t it the Pop Shoppe he advertised?
  21. "Clear the Track" I didn't have to post!
  22. That's my issue as an ex-pat that makes it up to Buffalo for a couple games a year. Frankly, it forces me to the secondary market, rather than buying direct from the Sabres. Not exactly the dynamic the team wants.
