As much as I want the sabres to win I still think this is a must lose. I hate the team as they are now and I hope they get bombshelled tonight and feel horrible about themselves.

I fully expect Middlstat to be leading the sabres in scoring by the end of the season else his shall be labeled as a "bust". That's roughly 8 points per game so I think it's doable.

Does that mean Phil considers last night's line-up a success? At this point it's musical chairs played by a bunch of giant turds, so the outcome is going to be the same. I can't wait until this season is over.

This is the type of game I expect the Sabres to get absolutely plastered and every time I think that they keep it competitive or even squeak out a W. That being said, I think Nashville is going to plaster the Sabres tonight.

Every time I look at the bottom 9 I think "woof" and yet they sometimes surprise me. This is 1 of 3 more games I'd like to see a win, which I'm expecting. TO had a tough game last night and should be tired opposed to a Sabre team who hasn't skated since Saturday which in theory is sound but we've seen this go the other way time and time again. The main reason I think they win tonight, with authority, is that they'll be riding a wave of momentum into a Saturday matinee which I fully expect to be a brutal showing from the home team. Go Sabres.

I'm also going to agree with the bolded. Giving him a long-term contract now takes the carrot away and he can easily grow complacent. Tyler Myers is a shining example of this, not to mention the immense pressure these players are put under to perform when they're given such large contracts at a young age. Give Sam a reasonable bridge deal for both sides and then if he grows into a player whose worth big money then pay the man!
