  1. The Sabres have as much of a chance at beating Tampa tonight as the Bills do this Sunday against the Pats.
  2. Aside from figuring out how to get Eichel's groove back? The goal for the rest of the season is to lay a foundation for next year (again). I'm expecting Kane to be traded and he's not re-signing here. He's a true competitor and has never been to the playoffs. There's no reason he'd want to come back to a losing teams. Contenders will offer him money in the off-season and he'll take it. I'm expecting a late 1st in return for him or a blue chip prospect. I'm sure there will be conditions on how deep the team goes. I'm also expecting Gorges to fetch us a 3rd or maybe even a 2nd if Botteril can work some magic. Teams looking to make a run need solid defensive depth and Gorges is perfect for that in a limited role. The rostered goalies on this team will not be here next year. Jury is still out on what happens with Reinhart. Sign him to an attractive bridge deal or trade him, it could go either way at this point. Let the kids in Rochester continue to marinate and win together. I can't remember the last time we've had a player developed in Rochester whose came up and really impressed and became a key member of the team. I think Girgensons and McCabe are the only players on the roster drafted by the Sabres who have spent more than 50 games in the AHL.
  3. No, it forms into a super fart.
  4. I'd like to see the defense score tonight. Tampa on a bit of a skid? Welcome to Buffalo to cure what ails you! Buffalo is going to get eaten alive tonight. If you thought your Thanksgiving dinner was a feast, it wasn't, this is going to be a gorging. It also sounds like Bogo is not playing but he's close.
  5. People are talking Bogo but what about E-Rod?
  6. So we're 1 point up on the coyotes for last place. At what point do we resurrect the CHL thread?
  7. tha'ts horsewash! price slide into reinhart who was outside of the crease. I don't understand that.
  8. contact outside of the crease, that's a goal.
  9. Well F your shutout, price.
  10. I have less faith in Johnson than i do for Lehner despite knowing his statistical drop off for back to back starts
  11. Id like to see the defense score tonight.
  12. Finally! Great zone pressure there for about 5 minutes. Edmonton is bad.
  13. eichel = snakebitten
  14. I'd like to see Lucic run Lehner tonight. That's what broke this team last time he ran a goalie, maybe this time it will galvanize the team and lead us to the promise land.
  15. Tonight id like to see a goal from our defense, feeling it tonight.
  16. There's an alternate universe somewhere that has the Sabres successfully rebounding from the Tank and Trump wasn't elected. Looks like Josephen is back in. I wonder who he replaces? Nolan?
  17. Maybe its the pre-turkey intoxication speakibg but im confident our defensive core will score a goal tonight. Surely the 22nd game of the season will see that happen. Wonky bouncey shot from Gorges in garbage time....book it. Do Ennis and Foligno put up points? Will Matcus fight Jack?
  18. Well at least is was exciting near the end? I only caught the last 5 minutes visually, listened to most of it. That's 6 straight losses now. Meanwhile the Coyotes are going to beat the Leafs tonight so they're only 1 point behind us now. Go Sabres.
  19. What if God told him to start Peterman? Don't confuse stupidity with faith. That's how superbowls are won?
  20. Hindsight is a real son of a bitch, isn't it? Botteril should have waited it out, could have signed Jack to a reasonable bridge deal which would have allowed us to sign Kane. If jack is worth all the money in the world after the bridge by all means pay him. At least we didn't sign Reinhart yet.
  21. Right, but they didn't indicate them 3-1-2, they listed them as 1-2-3. What if the posted lines for opening night were listed 4-1-2-3? Ours heads would have been exploding and nobody would have been arguing semantics. This is absolutely is a demotion and his ice-time is going to be dictated by how he responds.
  22. FootballTennis Match Commentator #1: That's 5 interceptions for Nate Peterman. He's playing the worst football of his life. What's he feeling right now, Tex Hayward? Tex Hayward: I don't know, Jim. There's obviously something wrong with him. He's taken off his shoes and one of his socks and... actually, I think he's crying.
  23. Shouldn't this be seen as demotion? Come on, anyone whose been watching Eichel this season can tell the effort hasn't' been there. He seems to give up to easily and his body language screams 1 part frustration / 1 part I don't want to be here.
  24. They're due to score more than 1 tonight right? Or should we expect less, go for the baby steps approach? Will they register a shot within the first 5 minutes? How about the first 10? It's mind blowing just how bad this team has been. At least during the tank years we had the hopes "well this will be worth it in 3 years". That time is now and it almost seems like we're regressing.
  25. Tonight, on the twenty-first game, I predict the defense will notch a goal.
