  1. Getting into pedantics here but I equate Chads and Neckbeards as equal but different types of losers. I'd call him a neckbeard if he was rocking a neckbeard and fedora. Chad's are Type A personalities to a T, rule abiders who make bureaucrats come off as easy to deal with. Neckbeards are self-serving slobs.
  2. He looks like a total Chad.
  3. Really don't understand why Kane isn't the LW on the 2nd line...perhaps PH wants to balance out the lines? That would work if Kane could act as a driver but he needs to play with skilled players to succeed. He's had 2 assists this month, that's real bad. Put him on with ROR and let him rack up points, having him on the 3rd line is killing his trade value.
  4. I wouldnt mind seeing jack set a career high for points tonight...hes only had 4 once before in his first game in Boston i think. Hoping to see him set up Antipin.
  5. This team is playing with confidence.
  6. Oh baby! This is the best game ive seen all season.
  7. I hope the boys smell blood and double the current lead.
  8. Is that 20 for Jack?
  9. Whoop! Thats how you powerplay!
  10. This is one of the worst power plays ive seen. Woof.
  11. Wilson-O’Reilly-Reinhart , the power trio ive been waiting for all my life. Arent we trying to trade Kane? Shouldnt he be playing with players who will help him score? I havent looked at box scores of late but i feel like he hasnt been productive lately
  12. I think Antipin scores tonight.
  13. "Once Buffalo got healthier on the blue line, Tennyson went down to Rochester where he’s played 23 games with no points and was minus seven." ...yeah...playing Tennyson over Gorges or Antipin would certainly be a head scratcher. Maybe Phil knows something we don't. Hopefully Tennyson will only be up there as a body for the extra d slot as it seems like there's better D-men in rochester to choose from (unless you want the good players down there to keep playing down there).
  14. Well hes due for a win in the 2nd half of the season
  15. Can somebody photoshop Jack & Sam riding a tandem bike with the Ryan Brothers over Niagara Falls? Trying to link the image but I can't figure out how to paste in pics from the web on this board. There's a disturbing trend of pre-season tandem bicycling dooming Buffalo sports. Pegula needs to stop being soft and ban these bikes ASAP.
  16. Are there any Lehner supporters on this board? I can't wait until he's off the team, the guy always seems wound up way too tightly. I think I recall some interviews from Ottawa players after he left saying "we can relax on the back end a bit" and reading into that makes you think Lehner's fiery attitude had guys treading lightly. I caught the 3rd last night and watching the 3rd and 4th goals had me rolling my eyes. His positioning was atrocious and my thoughts were "Ullmark would have stopped those". I haven't read the game thread but I'm sure others have had that sentiment.
  17. I believe I read that the complaints last year was the breaks were too spread out and it gave teams an unfair advantage coming off the bye, not being in the zone. This year they condensed all the breaks into a 3 week span to even that out a bit. As a player, I'd love a 5 day break in the middle of winter to go hang out in the sun and rest up a bit...but I'm not an NHL player, just a beer-leaguer.
  18. It's way to premature to call Nylander a bust. He's 19 years old playing in the AHL...there's only like 5 players younger than him in that league right now. Let him develop and put on some muscle. Baptiste and Baily are in bust territory. Nylander is not even close.
  19. Okposo has always been streaky. He gets hot, then cold and repeats. The ICU scare definitely put in on an extended cold streak but he's definitely looking good these past few games. I'd expect to see him rack up a few points, cool down again, and then finish the season hot.
  20. :wallbash:
  21. Guhle is pronounced (ghoul-ie) correct? RJ's pronunciation makes me think this:
  22. As for the WPG trade....I consider Myers and Bogo a complete wash. I also completely forgot Stafford was a part of the trade. It's my belief that Murray gave up too much with 2 prospects and the 1st round pick. Stafford: 104 GP 57 points - no longer on team, March 1, 2017: Traded to Boston by Winnipeg for Boston's 6th round (conditional) pick in 2017 NHL Draft. Armia: 141 GP 47 points Lemieux: 7GP 1 point Rosclovic: 3GP 0 points Kane: 178 GP 113 points I'm thinking that the return we get for Kane will look like what WPG got from us in that trade, 2 prospects and a draft pick or some combination of that. I think Buffalo gets declared a winner of the trade if an IMPACT player comes back/develops from whatever Kane brings in. Else it's a wash (this also depends on Amria, Lemieux or Rosclovic not becoming a force).
  23. We need to see how Asplund pans out for this one.
