So true. Anywhere else most "ethnic" foods you'll find is very homogenized for the "american" palette. This isn't the case in Queens.

If you're staying in Queens make sure you have a side-quest of food destinations to check out. Queens has, hands-down, some of the best regional foods in the country as it has sizable immigrant populations from pretty much everywhere and the food is ###### amazing and it's hard to find anything that compares anywhere else.

I submitted some feedback on the app about who their target audience is supposed to be for this newsletter and asked why the newsletter was so terrible today. I'll post their response here if I get one.

I downloaded the OneBuffalo APP on fan appreciation night to take a shot at the giveaways and in doing so I inadvertently signed up for the One Buffalo newsletter, which I received earlier this week. Reading through the letter left me with a growing sense of anger with this franchise. It reads like it was written by a teenage girl whose vocabulary barely eclipses 500 words (which might be a bit generous). I am shocked that this is a product being put out by an organization representing NHL & NFL teams. Is this the work of Russ Brandon's friend's daughter who undeservedly stumbled into an internship with the Pegulas? I know it's a small thing to nit-pick, but seeing trash like this being published by PSE hammers home that something is fundamentally wrong at the core of how these franchises are run. Text of the newsletter below for those of you who haven't seen it, bolded emphasis on the parts that made my eyes burn. Syntax, slang, the apparent ignorance of the existence of a thesaurus... Playoff SZN Playoff season is in full swing and we are digging it. The Rochester Americans are killin’ it and are Calder Cup bound. They will wrap up their regular season this weekend and then head to Round 1 of the playoffs on 4/25. We highly recommend grabbing tickets for that game ASAP! The Beauts totally crushed it this season and made another Isobel Cup Final appearance. The ladies in blue finished their season 12-4. And of course you can’t forget the Bandits. They have been totally tearing it up in the NLL East Division and are hanging strong in the playoff race. The Bandits head west to Calgary on April 14th to take on the Roughnecks. They will then head back to Banditland on April 21st to take on The Six’s very own Rock. The Bandits will then finish up their regular season on April 28th at KeyBank Center when they take on the Rochester Knighthawks. And did we mention that is Fan Appreciation night? Oh yeah. As much as I've bashed Gorges here, I'm feeling for that guy during his post game speech. Stick taps for him. He definitely put his soul into this team and it's unfortunate how the last 3 years have been for him.

The bright spot going into next season is Casey. 5 points in his first 6 games going from HS - College - NHL in a years span is no joke. Hopefully he'll be the steal of last year's draft. Looking forward to what he can bring with another summer of growth and development.

Welp. Thats the worst season ive hockey ive ever been through with this team. This board has been so much more entertaining than the actual on ice product. Good job on another season guys and gals...heres to a productive off season. Cheers!

Switch Baptiste and Pominville and I'd be more interested. These last 2 games should have the 4th line composed of players that need to be phased out, not our youth. Can't watch tonight b/c I have tickets to an underwater puppet show but will be interested so see how they do. GO SABRES. ICE THE LIGHTNING!

Okposo is either really ON or completely turned OFF...I remember when we signed him Islanders fans had the same comments. He looks amazing when he's hot but then he goes cold for streaks. The concussion and ensuing ICU visit has unfortunately made those cold streaks more frequent. Once Bogo/Pommer/Moulson are off the books KO's contract will be the Sabres albatross.

I'd be really happy with these lines if Okposo replaced Wilson on the 2nd Line and Baptiste slid up to the 3rd line and Wilson played on the 4th. Should be fun to watch the 3rd line tonight regardless.

A loss tonight will cement the Sabres in the annals of hockey history as the first team to ever finish 31st in the standings. This would give us a 50% shot at drafting 4th overall, or 50% drafting in the top 3. I think an ideal scenario tonight would be an OT Victory. That would mean we'd have to win our last two games (and OTT lose theirs) to not land in last place and there's no chance of that happening*. *knowing the Sabres they'd probably pull off a 3 game winning streak to lower their odds of Dahlin.

Is there a rhyme to reason why we've seen Girgensons stapled with Jack? Since Jack's return Girgensons has 0 goals and 3 points.Pominville only has 4 points in that span (all in the past 4 games). I can't for a second buy that this is the best pair of wingers to use with Eichel. I find it funny we've never seen him play with ERod as they were on a line in college and you'd think they'd have some chemistry. Rethinking potential lineups, here's a new idea. Have a 3rd line of all the young bucks. Tell them to go out and play and know you don't have a veteran to cover for your mistakes. Trial by fire. The 4th line is there to mostly keep the bench warm. Okposo- Eichel -Erod Wilson - ROR - Reinhart Nylander - Mittlestad - Baptiste Girgensons - Larsson - Pominville

I cna't imagine this is the case. The year is over...now is the time to play the youth to see how they work together on the roster at the NHL level. Nothing is gained having them up here to have plugs on expiring contracts playing over them.

Pouliot looked like an avalanche crashed onto a train that had crashed on the side of a mountain last night, so I'm guessing he's sitting. If I were Housley the lines I'd put forth are: Nylander - Eichel - Mittlestat Baptiste - ROR - Reinhart Okposo-Rodriguez - Girgensons Wilson - Larsson - Pomminstein Sit: Pouliot, Nolan, Porter I don't think the lines will look anything like this. My head might explode if Eichel is not playing with one of the youths.

I'm not even talking high-end free agents you throw money at. I'd like to see a depth acquisition not be a complete dumpster fire and actually out-perform what was expected. I know it doesn't happen often but the Sabres always seem to be on the other end of that.
