I'm confused.. why are there references to teams they are not playing in there? I saw at least the Raiders and Jaguars and I think others. I'm not interested in going back. Is there also no sound to it? This is amazing. I'd have to watch it a few times, but the S dropping from SAINTS sign to reveal "Aints" was classic.. not as classic as the Ram running over the Saints guy and the referee coming in to call incomplete pass. THAT was an amazing touch.

Especially if there are hot dogs waiting for him.

There's so much focus on how bad Tampa failed. However, if CBJ had this lineup all season how good would they have been? They radically overhauled their roster for the playoffs, it was a gamble, and it paid off. At least in Round 1. What's clear is that CBJ was prepped and ready to play and executed their game perfectly. They were relentless. It'll be interesting to see how far they go. It'll be even more interesting to see what happens to that team after this season. Of course, winning the Cup will make people more forgiving, but if they see players walk away from the team it could be an epic collapse that awaits. It's one way to live.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency

I would suspect that as the tax burden increases on corporations they will find the next loophole. I applaud the simple tax initiative, but even then, doesn't this ultimately end up in a higher cost of living for everyone as corporations are forced to improve revenues to overcome their tax burdens? Exemptions are bad. Even in personal taxes. They are usually some kind of band-aid attempt to something that was already broken thus resulting in an even more complex situation that remains broken. Just like my $300 jacket that is always on sale for $45 and with discounts can be had for $30. But it's okay because it only cost $3.50 to make. ? -
33% of this is already happening, isn't it?

Just like moving between states, what prevents corporations from changing their structures to become non-US based entities and avoiding much of the tax concerns? I've always seen it as a balancing act. You have to find the right amount. Unfortunately, government seems unable to do so. -
Unfortunately it's only temporary. Welcome back!

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency

It's deeper than labor. We need to change education. Our children are purposefully under educated and that's even in the best "suburb" schools. Let's not even get started on urban school issues. Ignorance breeds ignorance. Ignorant people are easy to control because they lack the ability to question and understand. What passes for intellectual discussion these days was what was considered neanderthalic diatribe 20 years ago. It's not getting worse. It's not idiocracy, because the idiots that are put in office are not really in charge. Until we demand ourselves to be educated at a higher level we won't have the sufficient tools to combat the problem. -

I might argue that you don't need to improve all the countries. You just need to improve the ones that you share a border with. If that one is good enough then they'll stop when they get there. -

If you want to refer to something, can you please post a link so people can understand what you are referring to? Furthermore, you are ignoring responses back to you. I'll be blunt, either have a discussion or leave the group. I think the bottom line of what you are saying is that the government is too big and too incompetent. I would agree, so asking them to embark on such an endeavor would be futile. This is without even accounting for the financial aspects of building such barriers, etc. as you described. People who flee countries because their lives are at stake are not going to be deterred by walls, guards, etc. Moreover, let's hypothetically say you can build a wall that deters entry from Southern land borders. How long before immigrants are hopping in boats and traveling across the Gulf or up to Canada to get in? Are we going to wall off Canada? What if Mexico were to improve its economic standing such that immigrants were content to settle there (or stay there)? Would that not be a much better solution? -

I haven't finished the video as I need to get to a meeting. She's not wrong. It also does not mean that racism does not exist. White nationalism is a thing, sadly. The socio-economic issues of urban centers is a bigger issue I would think. -
It's hockey tryout season... I saw a few kids on the ice last night at the 15/16U level who thought their best bet for making a team was to try and run every kid on the ice. Want me to get their names tonight? ?

My kid loved the DJ. He didn't care about the floss cam. I actually don't mind the DJ because there's at least something going on between periods. Different strokes...

Just because one is able to do something quickly does not mean it should be done quickly every time. Situations are always different. There are a lot of things that make sense here, don't choose to ignore them. -

No, I was asking to clarify for everyone who might read it. Better to ask than just assume things. -
Just a circle though, definitely not a sphere.

I love Ted Nolan. Just not as a coach. -
You know, my first thought when you said this was not what number he was wearing but trying to figure out how old the video was, then seeing it was from 2019 and trying to figure out how an 11 year old managed to make it into the game. Some days the obvious just passes you by...

And exactly why would they want this? Did Gary Bettman's mother once slip on a sidewalk while in Buffalo? Perhaps Gary Bettman once choked on a chicken wing bone and thought to himself, it's all Buffalo's fault. Perhaps he hates the smell of cereal. Maybe he lost a lot of money betting on the Bills in the Super Bowl and is holding a grudge? He's mad Mighty Taco wouldn't expand to NYC? He hates kimmelweck rolls because the salt is bad for his high blood pressure? I'm really curious why he'd have it out for Buffalo.

Eichel can be fiery but not be tough enough on himself too. Eichel still seems to carry an air of entitlement when he's on the ice. His insistence to stick handle into a group of players. His insistence to throw pucks into places without looking. His insistence to glide back to the bench for a change. His insistence to look at the referees when he believes there should be a penalty (or any of the seeming 500 million times he's tossed from the face-off). I still think he can be one of the best players in the game. He has at least another level. He needs someone to get him there, if it won't be himself. Fiery.. sure, but perhaps in the wrong way at the wrong time. -

Indeed. But then they are just reflections of society. People on here see one questionable statement and immediately there is speculation on the Sabres being used, because Buffalo, the Sabres roster, etc. Sooner or later you'd think people would get tired of walking through all the $#!+ that doesn't stick to the walls. -

I see now. When you (you specifically) enter a conversation and begin using the word you to refer to a general populace it can be quite confusing on who you (you specifically) are referring to. It's also helpful if one addresses the person they expect a response from so that person might recognize that you are directing statements or questions at that person. For example, your statements about grabbing a gun are clearly not targeted at me as I am not the one who said that. However, in reading it, it feels as though you are attributing it to me. There are plenty of illegal immigrants in my area. They will soon return to the area to begin doing the jobs, off the books, that the government has made too expensive to hire US citizens to do legally. I'm not concerned with who is here as long as they are being productive. At some point we'll all realize that borders are artificial divides and that pitting one nation against another is a waste of resources. With regards to your last sentence, this is a forum meant for discussion. So on here, the only thing people can do is throw around numbers and recite talking points. That's the point of discussion. It may actually do something in that it may actually inform people and educate people. It may spark action that was otherwise not already being taken. Finally, discussing these points on here is not mutually exclusive of taking action outside of this forum. Certainly one can argue that spending time posting on here consumes time that could be spent engaging in action, but life is not always about action, and this forum is more about the Buffalo Sabres than it is illegal immigration. TL;DR - address the person to whom you are making a counter point - I don't disagree with much of what you said - this is a forum, it's about discussing -
We'll chat. ?

Eagle populations have been rising up strongly over the past few decades. The elimination of DDT and the subsequent bounce back of the bald eagle population is perhaps the premiere example of how raptors can be indicators of environmental health. A few weeks ago Hawk Ridge in Duluth, MN set a new North American record for a single day migration.. they counted 1,076 bald eagles in single day. The old record was 822. https://www.facebook.com/HawkRidgeDuluth/posts/2271009066295153
