  1. Tie breaker is wins in regulation. Vegas actually has more than Dallas.
  2. I am rooting for Colorado and Minnesota. I am in the process of moving to the Denver area, so the more playoff games that happen, the more likely I can see one live, especially if my company's box has an open seat (unlikely it gets down the pecking order to me, but who knows.) Interesting factoid: Avalanche games haven't been on TV in the Denver area for this season and I think even longer. Some sort of dispute between networks/broadcasters. (I didn't care enough to learn the details). Minnesota because it is the State of Hockey and they deserve it. Also, as mentioned above, I too like Marcus Foligno and also Kevin Fiala, who the Sabres should look into an RFA offer sheet this off-season. I can't actively root for anyone in the East. It's more a question of who I dislike less.
  3. I just looked at Tage since Feb 1st (randomly chosen date because it was easy to get the stats and I feel like his game has really picked up since then). It's 34 games. In that time he has 22 goals and 12 assists. Projecting to 80 games (I always assume guys miss at least 2 games a season) that's 52 goals and 22 assists = 80 points. Probably won't happen, but if Tage puts up 50+ goals in a season I am going to call him Eichel's equal, in my mind at least.
  4. I'd take Asplund over Larsson at equivalent points in their careers. I never understood the Larsson love around here. To me he was pure tank material. Whereas Asplund can be a value-add 4th line defensive-minded forward who chips in on driving some offense.
  5. Is that relative to all NHL defensemen or a 19 year old playing in his first game and logging 19 minutes? Either way, I'm willing to give him until game 3 or even game 4 to see if he has more willingness to generate offense by pinching more.
  6. I'm glad Okposo is on this team.
  7. I can neither confirm nor deny that Oxford Pennant may have made some cool pennants with Rick's famous calls on them.
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMHjF0mnwUQ Your feet and other parts will move
  9. They apparently tape the Amerks games with a 1985 handheld VHS recorder.
  10. I view this line as a positive. Once the unofficial Tank is done (next season) it will be an immediate upgrade to replace these turds with replacement level players or better. Guys like Okposo and Asplund will be taking their ice time as they are bumped down by Quinn and Peterka.
  11. Chicks. It was some chicks who were distracting him. (I have no idea just guessing based on my college experience)
  12. Did you know that the Swedish Navy puts bar codes on all their ships? They want to Scandinavian.
  13. Right because he should have expected the pass over the net. And there was another player standing literally next to Milano. Keep trying though.
  14. Granato: "Now Rasmus, I know I've been rolling you out there more than 23 minutes a game, over 3 minutes more than anyone else on the team, against the best the league has to offer and I know you lead the team in assists. But dammit, when you screw up you aren't feeling enough shame and taking the time to consider just how bad you are and how awful it makes us all feel when you look like an absolute tool out there...well it's just unacceptable. So I am demoting you to the press box to consider how to play better to stop looking like a tool." Consequences like these you mean?
  15. A 'time out'. Listen to yourself. He's a professional athlete, not a toddler. Of course he bears the consequences of his play...his teammates and coaches and fans all see it, his statistics suffer, and he is acutely aware of it. If you observe his demeanor it clearly weighs on him already. He's the most talented D-man on the team. Change his role a bit, at least for a time? Sure, that makes sense. Get him more help with a stronger partner if he is playing top pair minutes? Of course, if possible, this needs to happen anyway. But how is taking him entirely out of the line up and replacing him with Will Butcher going to help him or the team in any tangible way, shape, or form? You are advocating punitive actions as a frustrated fan. It's understandable. But we can agree to disagree on this.
  16. Ideally, bench him, alienate him until he demands a trade, then trade him for pennies on the dollar. That's how we do it folks!
  17. Well, that's my point. At his size he better be Tory Krug-esque and he sure ain't.
  18. Bryson is too small to play defenseman in the NHL
  19. 14 points in 22 games while skating 23 min/game. What is required for someone to "belong in the NHL" in your world? Point per game?
  20. Don't put it in the dryer after washing or it will really shrink.
  21. At the end of the day, the Capitals hockey players are a lot better than the Sabres hockey players. Hard to overcome that.
  22. Is Washington playing 6 skaters on 5?
  23. You're completely wrong.
  24. My head too. I think a move indicating a well run organization is a good sign they are...a well run organization. Or at least becoming one.
