Lets see if good performing goalies survive the season. It’s still very very early. IMO if we have decently performing goalies and they stay on the roster, it’s not a tanking season.

Grew up in Cheektowaga. Lived in Tonawanda for 13yrs. Moved generally east of what most folks think of as metro Buffalo. Rochester is Finger Lakes region. IMO whoever said Batavia is about the end of WNY got it right. Half of Batavia relates more to Roc than they do to Buf. Move 10 miles west to Corfu and they definitely relate to Buf. Leroy is solidly Roc.

I just relegated my kayak to the garage for the season. Was a sad determination. We've got some cold temps settling in. Water temps have to be in the 50s now. Air temps in the AM in the 40s or less. Dry suit weather and I don't have a dry suit. May can't come soon enough.

Honestly, you dont have to be concerned with the bears. They are hunted in Chau Co. They are afraid of you. If that isn’t reassuring enough, go for the bear spray. There is alot of debate about the effectiveness of handguns on bears in an attack situation. Much less debate about bear spray. If you do feel compelled to carry, learn with a .22. Even a 9mm teaches flinch. Keep in mind that a .44 mag or 10mm has alot of recoil in a handgun and the effects of either on bears is hotly debated.

I don''t agree with your thoughts re: time. Any team that would be interested in Jack weeks from now is probably doing so out of pressure to salvage a season. Jack will need at least 3 months recovery time before he hits the ice. You'd be looking at Jack hitting the ice in February-March. If you are looking to salvage a season the time is now, not 4-6 weeks from now.
