People. Canadian here. Sorry, don’t want to insult anyone, but Trump is butchering this. I have a friend who is now a scientist in St Louis. He says the US is 6 weeks behind. And Trump spewing nonsense isn’t helping. Here in BC we are starting to have more difficulties. Not enough being done as far as locking it down. Yesterday in Vancouver it was a beautiful day and people were out in droves well within the social distancing guidelines. I work for a government run liquor store and it’s madness in there with the business running like it’s a week before Christmas. I am very concerned as I’m dealing with more people and they aren’t following guidelines either. But our government while not perfect is farther ahead than the US is. I feel for everyone. Be safe

It’s been over for awhile folks. The nhl and their 3pt games (sometimes) creates a false playoff race. The Sabres were playing better but had 4 teams to leapfrog. It is virtually impossible unless you win 10 straight in regulation. Another no stress in the playoffs year.

I’d move Sam for the right player in return. What that is I don’t know. But Sam, to me, is too slow for this league. He can’t seem to drive his own line. He seems to lack motivation imo. I can see him being happy on the West Coast closer to home. For the money I believe there are better values out there. For example the Canucks traded for TJ Miller and he is cheaper and more effective. He also plays with an edge and some jam. When the Canucks gave up a 1st rounder they were raked over the coals for it. But the move was perfect. He has 26 goals and 42 helpers while being plus 9. He’s playing with some good players but not a Jack either. So if they can find a guy like that with some term left I’d be moving on from Sam. Again not going to sit here and look for who that could be but it is certainly doable.

Why can’t Sam dive to break up the play? Why not put your head down and skate, hard for 2 more strides? Pathetic effort. No excuses.

I’d tell Sam to sit by the door in period 2.

So Reinhart can’t keep skating back? He can’t slide on his belly to break up the pass? And he talks about effort? 3 more hard strides and he breaks that up. I’d bench him.

This is an outrageous move and this is not right. The Knights are at the top in almost all categories or very close to the top aside from save percentage and shooting percentage. Not much a coach can do in regards to saves and scoring. I think it’s a terrible move and to replace him with the hated Deboer is even worse. Terrible decision. Imagine being 3 out of first and firing coach? Amazing

People, a move like this reeks and is shambolic. What they have done with this Smith kid is bush league. The culture of this team will never change with someone like JB in charge. He should be ashamed of himself. Really making Buffalo a destination players want to sign with???? I think RK should be in full control because I believe he would change the culture from the top down. I hope Smith gets picked up. JB stop playing games with people. Do your job!!!!! HNY everyone. My question. Do any of you folks who live in Buffalo ever worry or wonder if the team will eventually relocate? Random q, I know but curious if it ever comes up in conversations. And if this happened, would you still follow them as your team? Carry on.

It looks extremely bad blowing a 3 goal lead but the warning signs were there earlier in the game. Of TB’s first 9 shots, 4 or 5 were code red variety. The game looked out of reach but TB simply said let’s get the next one and they’ll crumble. And we did. another year with no playoffs. Well there’s always next year. I wonder how long it takes before Captain says I want out too?

I wonder what it is that players like ER stay up and CL doesn’t? I’ve never been enamored with ERod. Hopefully Curtis can get some meaningful minutes. Classy kid, works hard. He deserves it

How’d he play against LA?

Just found an article where Nathan Baeulieu said it was mentally degrading playing in Buffalo. Yikes. And he agreed with ROR fully. I feel for you folks who live in Western NY and have to listen to that. I’m a fan of over 40+ but it can’t be easy for locals who actually pay to see them play.

Does anyone really think the Pegulas will actually sell? Serious question?

VO isn’t scoring because he’s being watched more while on pp. Teams figure it out quickly and find ways to stop teams. It’s up to Buffalo to find ways. Same old same old. I’ll be straight. Living in BC I obviously get all Canucks games and I can tell you they are already ahead of the Sabres in their rebuild and they started after ours. Most nights, the Canucks have played well and given a good effort. Can we say that about Sabres? Question, is the ice that bad in Buffalo? If so, shame on the team for not trying to be top 3 in the league for ice. Their team is built for speed and finesse so they need ice to fit that style

It’s amazing in today’s sporting world that a team can pretty much be done at the quarter pole. As I age it becomes easier and easier to not care and focus on other things. As I say , when you’re team sucks, no stress. I haven’t had any Sabres stress for years. In fact, most of teams have sucked lately aside from Dodgers (it’s only baseball though so). I did notice it seemed very quiet when I watched the game on the tube last week.

I think Sam should be in his own line too. Jack and Skinner and fill in blank. Sam with a player like Lazar and someone like VO would be a nice line. Lazar works hard and will retrieve pucks. VO needs a pass and he can get that on a line like that. I still think a lot is in between the ears on so many players. Bo Horvat has always been so mature and always looked like the game meant everything to him. I don’t see that with Casey for example. These kids are pretty good but they need to work their ***** off and their skill should shine through. It’s a hard league and I don’t see a lot of urgency in some of the players.
