    Tried that before.... no thanks.
  2. Well that would certainly put the fanbase in a tailspin. If they are that broke on liquid assets then they should sell the team to another Buffalo owner.

The big problem with using pick 8 is the loss of a major asset in acquiring a 2C which by far are most important need.

I’d disagree about Kane and Lehner. Kane had requested out and was at odds with the team’s management. So his value should of dropped some. Bogosian was a toss up who had dropped into healthy scratch with awful contract and a random goalie. We traded a former Calder trophy winning freak dman with warts but still very useful. A rental in Stafford worth a 2nd, a late 1st, the 31st pick from the year prior and a former 1st rounder in Armia. It was very one sided then and only worsened as time passed.

Yes he did but it doesn’t matter if you make $100 if you immediately use it to buy overpriced goods for $100. His biggest flaws was marrying himself to specific players versus a type of player, seemingly not understanding team chemistry, and completely destroying Rochester.

I’d say the more correct notion would be Murray overpaid in his attempt to hasten the rebuild. 2 2nds for Fasching Myers, Stafford, a 1st, Lemuiex and Armia for Kane, Bogosian, and Kasdorf A 3rd for Vesey’s rights A 1st for Lehner and Legwand (capdump that turned out good)
  7. Cut out the actual info to conserve space lol. I doubt that Calgary would accept that trade seeing as over on capfriendly they seem to think those two are worth Eichel somehow. The lightest I could see is Monahan, Gaudreau and CGY's 1st for Reinhart, Montour, Mitts, and BUF's 1st and our 2021 2nd Effectively CGY moves up at least 9 spots in the draft in that situation.
  8. No, maybe after 3 OTs I could accept it but the NHL playoffs are the best of all sports and part of that is the OT format.
  9. I more fear anything with Calgary since I value Cozens far more than slightly longer rental in Gaudreau and the offensive slanted Monahan
  10. My first hypothetical trade was Gaudreau/Lindholm, Monahan, and Bennett for Reinhart, Mitts, Thompson, Montour and our 2020 and 2021 2nds. The biggest problem I see is that 2 of our scoring wingers (with Gaudreau) are midgets. Skinner - Eichel - Lindholm/Olofsson Gaudreau/Olofsson - Monahan - Kahun Bennett - Cozens - Johansson Clifford - Lazar - Okposo Dahlin - Miller McCabe - Jokiharju Merrill - Ristolainen Ullmark Hutton Extras: Borgen McKegg Asplund Reeves signed an extension with Vegas
  11. Can the Rock skate?
  12. Not worth Cozens in my opinion, Monahan is offensively gifted but isn't all that good defensively.
  13. No thank you, I'd do it with Mitts vs Cozens perhaps but I'd want Bennett too.
  14. That would lean to Monahan & Calgary. Seeing as Tampa couldn't afford to sign Reinhart. To be honest I still much rather have Cirelli as I'm not all that high on Monahan and Johnny Hockey
  15. hmm, but why would we trade Reinhart?
  16. I love them, not the showcase music but I certainly love the jerseys. Eichel and Dahlin look great in those colors, I think Cirelli would too ?

Barring a trade for Cirelli, the only prospect that interests me at 8 is Rossi.
  18. He also liked my tweet to him saying he should design a 3rd jersey using the old 99 style jersey.
  19. I’d rather have Barkov if they start blowing stuff up.
  20. I like Domi, just not enough to trade Reinhart to get him
  21. That would be bad for Buffalo as we really wouldn't be acquiring a center but rather 2 wingers who have previously played center some.
  22. Even if it was the fairest trade imaginable I’d rather not aid the Leafs to get my hands on an average 3C and Mid-6 winger
  23. That would be a horrid trade for us seeing as Kerfoot isn't a 2C.
  24. Tim Murray understood how to build player chemistry but had an almost religious adherence to specific players and no ability to figure how the personalities would work outside the rink. Botterill seemed to think that skill alone would make the team better. The problem was he got far too many players of a very similar skill set and without any diversity of skill types the team would excel early in the year in open hockey but would collapse upon teams locking down for the playoff runs. He also had no ability to understand his top player’s value.
  25. I wouldn’t take McDs contract if they gave me their 1st next year. If he were under contract for 3 years I’d say go for it but he’s literally signed until he 38/39 years old He doesn’t have to be protected he has a M-NTC not a NMC though just so you guys know. He had better adore Cozens because he’s going to be good
