  1. Why would karma be on their side anyway. Vegas has been arguably the worst team in the league this year in regards to its players. They shoved their franchise goalie out the door and let him find out via Twitter. Traded a guy they couldn’t trade to begin with and then had to eat crow. They have made Tampa’s use of LTIR look sanitary by comparison. If any team has to deal with bad karma it would be them.
  2. William Karlsson, he to had a similar explosion when the 1C role was thrust on him but has never been anywhere near as good since.
  3. I’d wait until midway through next season, we’ve been burned far too many times over the years. I want him to show us next year that this wasn’t a fluke and that he can be a Top 6 center who can put up 25G 35A or so every year.
  4. I honestly don’t trust either Manson or Gudbranson to be worth throwing money at. Manson has been trending down every year since 2018 and Gudbranson has only ever been good this year under Sutter’s system. Manson would end up an anchor in 2 years and Gudbranson is likely to become a general liability. Copp is a good young player but I’m not overpaying him then dumping Mitts on the side of the road. Lastly there are zero reasons to trade Girgensons, he’s no super player but he’s a good guy and does his job every game without question. Change for the sake of change isn’t going to make us any better.
  5. Vinny Trocheck is winning about 55% of his draws
  6. Going to the shootout
  7. Brian Boyle
  8. My guess would be he might end up available due to their cap crunch this offseason.
  9. Here's a guy, Chris Tanev. Defensive defenseman, RHD older but still very effective at what he does. Calgary is going to have a cap crunch on their hands this offseason. Any thoughts?
  10. You either badly phrased that or are completely wrong. If you mean Buffalo has "nothing" to play for than yes you are correct. If you don't then your point makes zero sense as we have played a myriad of playoff teams, including teams Vegas is fighting with, and teams aren't deciding to play easy on us for the fun of it.
  11. I really can’t see it. Mainly because The closest players that would fill that role would be either to low in value presently/stupid to trade(Mitts) and Krebs (Definitely needs to bulk up some) Cozens is too much of a poster child for our whole system of doing things to be dealt. I guess Bryson or Fitzgerald could be traded but I can’t imagine they’d be key pieces in a solid trade. Who would we exactly be targeting and in what position? The only reasonable idea would be a 24 to 27 year old RHD on a good long term contract. Trading large assets for goalies rarely works in this day and age and hold very little likelihood of success. And most of our forward positions are already filled besides a 4th line FO winning center.
  12. It still sucks how Mitts got hurt in the 1st game of the season but perhaps that was destiny as it allowed Tage to get an extended shot at center. It is really good though to see Mitts getting some of his moxie back over the past month. He just needs to trust his shot again. Power had his ups and downs; I think the team might be a little too hellbent on getting him his first though lol
  13. In the end this season ended up derailed by Anderson's injury causing a huge ripple in our goalie room. Not playoffs mind you but probably a slightly better record.
  14. Amazing takeaway, terrible turnover then a flub by the Flyer. Another solid day as the Sabres get another win. Happy Easter everyone
  15. 50 pts for Dahlin, 1st since Garry Galley in 95-96 or you could just post a tweet lol
  16. They played ok for the most part, Thomas and Tarasenko along with a few misses won them the game. Doesn’t hurt any less though
  17. I see some hesitation to deal with their size but also some fear of penalties after how the first got them.
  18. Do we want all our guys to go or are there some exceptions?
  19. So far it’s mostly been a really bad cold; sinuses draining like Niagara Falls and the like.
  20. Come on Sabres help me feel better! Got COViD yesterday
  21. They aren’t by enough to matter, it’s like 2 points with a game in hand. If we win all of the games we’d practically just swap spots in the standings.
  22. I think it really depends on a combination of POV and how entrenched one is in hockey as a whole. If you are a Sabres fan from North Carolina who never lived in Buffalo; your views would differ from a hockey enthusiast from Buffalo. You may both love the team equally; but one would also tie external factors in with the team where as the non-local may not. If Toronto media throws shade at Buffalo(the city and team) a native Floridan won’t be up in arms where as Buffalonians likely would be. I guess a perfect example would be my love of the San Francisco Giants. I personally feel the city is a liberal train wreck but that holds no influence over my love for the team. If media goes after the team/city, I don’t have enough “skin” in the game to become angered by it. Yet purely attacks against the franchise an get my temperature up
  23. I think it has more to do with frequency, you can write off one game as your team sleepwalking. You can’t honestly get me to believe that Toronto decides to only let it’s guard down against the Sabres 3 separate times in a month. We had their number this year akin to how Detroit had ours
