Here's a guy, Chris Tanev. Defensive defenseman, RHD older but still very effective at what he does. Calgary is going to have a cap crunch on their hands this offseason. Any thoughts?

You either badly phrased that or are completely wrong. If you mean Buffalo has "nothing" to play for than yes you are correct. If you don't then your point makes zero sense as we have played a myriad of playoff teams, including teams Vegas is fighting with, and teams aren't deciding to play easy on us for the fun of it.

I really can’t see it. Mainly because The closest players that would fill that role would be either to low in value presently/stupid to trade(Mitts) and Krebs (Definitely needs to bulk up some) Cozens is too much of a poster child for our whole system of doing things to be dealt. I guess Bryson or Fitzgerald could be traded but I can’t imagine they’d be key pieces in a solid trade. Who would we exactly be targeting and in what position? The only reasonable idea would be a 24 to 27 year old RHD on a good long term contract. Trading large assets for goalies rarely works in this day and age and hold very little likelihood of success. And most of our forward positions are already filled besides a 4th line FO winning center.

GDT: The Risen Sabres at the Phlyers - April 17 5:00 pm

It still sucks how Mitts got hurt in the 1st game of the season but perhaps that was destiny as it allowed Tage to get an extended shot at center. It is really good though to see Mitts getting some of his moxie back over the past month. He just needs to trust his shot again. Power had his ups and downs; I think the team might be a little too hellbent on getting him his first though lol -
In the end this season ended up derailed by Anderson's injury causing a huge ripple in our goalie room. Not playoffs mind you but probably a slightly better record.

Amazing takeaway, terrible turnover then a flub by the Flyer. Another solid day as the Sabres get another win. Happy Easter everyone -

They played ok for the most part, Thomas and Tarasenko along with a few misses won them the game. Doesn’t hurt any less though -

I see some hesitation to deal with their size but also some fear of penalties after how the first got them. -

So far it’s mostly been a really bad cold; sinuses draining like Niagara Falls and the like. -

They aren’t by enough to matter, it’s like 2 points with a game in hand. If we win all of the games we’d practically just swap spots in the standings. -

I think it really depends on a combination of POV and how entrenched one is in hockey as a whole. If you are a Sabres fan from North Carolina who never lived in Buffalo; your views would differ from a hockey enthusiast from Buffalo. You may both love the team equally; but one would also tie external factors in with the team where as the non-local may not. If Toronto media throws shade at Buffalo(the city and team) a native Floridan won’t be up in arms where as Buffalonians likely would be. I guess a perfect example would be my love of the San Francisco Giants. I personally feel the city is a liberal train wreck but that holds no influence over my love for the team. If media goes after the team/city, I don’t have enough “skin” in the game to become angered by it. Yet purely attacks against the franchise an get my temperature up -

I think it has more to do with frequency, you can write off one game as your team sleepwalking. You can’t honestly get me to believe that Toronto decides to only let it’s guard down against the Sabres 3 separate times in a month. We had their number this year akin to how Detroit had ours -

Great game Always enjoy raking the leaves Power looked like an NHL regular; eventually he'll get up to speed and start making plays on his own but for now it is perfectly reasonable to just blend in and subtlety help the team. Dahlin hates the Leafs as much as we do it seems. -
According to Okposo he’s a tree

Doubt it means much to be honest. If anything it may make a LHD vet defender possible but I doubt they want to go into next year with Jokiharju as their elder statesman on defense. Fitz strikes me as a AAAA player or 7/8 guy. He’s a perfect gritty filler player but nowhere good enough to be a game in game out Top 6.

Offseason Gameplan 2022 - Solving the goaltending system wide.
thewookie1 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
That's still insane and no team would ever receive that much for their backup no matter how high end their potential is (as long as they already have a good starter) Also I'd never trade that much to get a goalie (also why are you talking about Shesterkin when they aren't trading him?) In my opinion we should throw 2x8mil at Kuemper. which is solid overpayment and gives him the ability to sign somewhere again at 33. We can't go any longer in term at that cap hit though. Colorado just resigned Francois so I'd guess Kuemper is likely a goner. I have zero interest in Campbell based on what his ask would be and how little actual solid play he has under his name. (He has less then 35 games good games to his name.) Koskinen is even worse than what we have already; I'll resign Anderson for 2 years before Koskinen Husso would be in a similar spot to Kuemper in a 2x7/8mil contract offer Binnington is a moody trainwreck so no thanks Reimer would be a good temporary stopgap. Georgiev seems like a bit of headcase Samsonov has yet to impress me. -

Lol, so in your opinion KA literally has 0 way of keeping his job barring him giving so much money or assets that it in of itself is a firable offense. -
Guess he was waiting to get a picture edited with him standing in front of Seattle
