  1. I think it would be akin to Byram & Quinn for Kyrou
  2. He was offered in a trade regarding Peterka; not necessarily 1 for 1
  3. 5x7.7mil would put it at compensation of a 1st, 2nd and 3rd So perhaps we need to view the return through that lens Would we rather have Kesserling + Doan or Utah's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd next year?
  4. The only thing that gives me pause on Peterka was the fact he didn’t hit it off with Lindy whereas the rest did supposedly over the season. Now there’s no context to what that alluded to. Was it they didn’t see eye to eye comedically, that doesn’t matter. Was it preparation, then that could be a problem but not necessarily. Was it that Ruff wanted Peterka to put more effort into defense, that would be a serious issue.
  5. Oddly enough with Doan, his father, set us on the path of a rebuild by re-signing with Phoenix back in 2010/2011
  6. It was more 50/50 to be perfectly honest. Nigh all fans liked the idea of trading a prospect for a NHLer but it was a toss up on value given versus received.
  7. Kyrou was on the table; not sure what we had to add though 2 1sts and 2 roster players; likely bad ones Rossi + a piece
  8. I like Rakell and might be willing offer 9 if we can also dump Lafferty Not interested in Rust though
  9. I hope not, especially not for Rust or moving Helenius
  10. I want some older guys that can help pull the youngsters to the playoffs without selling the farm
  11. https://puckgm.puckpedia.com/rosters/720618 I don't hate the team I made; it at least has legitimate possibilities of going to the playoffs.
  12. I don't want them to but Guerin likes big centers
  13. Byram for Blake Coleman and NJ's 1st Underwhelming but fits the mantra of harder to play against 9 + Anton Wahlberg for Marco Rossi who gets 7x7mil Quinn, Muel and Lafferty for Jamie Oleksiak + P. Grubauer(1.9mil retained) Clifton + 4th to Chicago for Future Considerations
  14. Still should of got more and the wrong traded player but strangely these were 2 of the primary players I liked from Utah. Doan's heritage and the fact he plays a similar style to his father was part of my interest in him. Even if he isn't Shane Doan levels, if he can embrace that Power Forward role along with his high end motor he could easily be another Benson type.
  15. We got 2 solid players in a underwhelming trade with Peterka; furious about the lack of creativity and the general smugness of our incompetent GM but at very least the players we got are players I like. I'll miss JJ though, was an electric player at times and his skill will be missed unless we can replace him in some manner. I won't miss him on the PP though with his Catch-22 passes to Dahlin where'd he'd put our PP QB in a unwinnable situation.
  16. The worst part of this deal is I actually do like the players we got back but still feel shafted. This plus a late 1st or a couple 2nds and I feel much less livid.
  17. What's that in Buffalo? 5x8.5mil or something due to taxes?
  18. I kind of feel like taking a walk off a bridge at the moment; my favorite hockey team is just becoming the ***** Pittsburgh Pirates where cheap is the name of the game. This trade was hot garbage and fans deserve the right veto idiocy like this.
  19. That's what I fear; that this was the only reason the trade is light
  20. Can we just not, I'm so sick of the endless suffering with no respite
  21. We have better get a killing on this because I like Peterka hope not, he fell off the past couple years
  22. As I’ve said before, the only way I take picks is within a Peterka to Chicago deal for 3 and using some of Byram’s value to get #2 to take Misa who is NHL ready. Otherwise if we use #9, I want the best non-small forward/defender we can get.
