  1. Insider info: Jokiharju is expecting to sign with Boston according to the guy who literally moved him to Boston last week. The mover plays on my one softball team
  2. Whats his analytics then
  3. Schneider isn't good and I have no desire to help an Eastern team get better
  4. Pretty much, joined the agent who cares only about the money
  5. actually makes sense for the lesser seed; you win the 1st 2 and you put the higher seed in a must win for 3 consecutive games at most. You only need to win 1 rd game
  6. Peterka sure, im keeping Power so Byram can be dealt, Quinn is too high, McLeod make it 4x4.5 at max
  7. Happy Lou said no disappointed Holland said no mixed on Brian Burke offering to come here.
  8. Only the Hurricanes; in order to prevent Canada from getting another W this year. Of the Canadian teams however Jets, Oilers................. Armageddon ............. the Rapture............... Leafs
  9. Toronto only deserves disappointment, they deserve inexplicable injuries and choke jobs and nothing else.
  10. Appert is from Seravelli’s report Karmanos is referred in the article as well but came from Lance I believe. I have seen nothing about Ventura however thankfully
  11. Well they are unlikely to stay here in that case and that isn’t a future I hope or intend to live through
  12. I’d have no issue with hiring Eric Staal if not for Adams still being the ***** GM. I want a Front Office with all sorts of experiences and connections to which Eric Staal certainly has. But potentially losing our only seemingly competent guy in Karmanos at season’s end makes me sick.
  13. Strikes me as Adams is pulling out all the stops to save himself; an apparent multi-day presentation and the willingness to work with someone who has previously held his position.
  14. Barring Adams getting Botts fired, you can’t exactly blame him for Eichel wanting out. Unless you wanted to keep Botts at the helm there were going to be changes regardless of who we hired. Reinhart was a casualty of COVID, I doubt we give him a 1 year bridge had the season ended normally. Mitts for Byram was a good trade in hindsight but more of a head scratcher as a whole. Byram is a good player but doesn’t add anything new to the mix. Malenstyn trade in the OP is wrong, we traded a 2nd (pick 43) for him. I wouldn’t have offered that. At best I’d of offered a 4th. Cozens is too early to say; still don’t like the return personally but I wasn’t against trading him by the time they did. Hall was actually a solid trade in the circumstances but his signing was a dumb attempt to either help Krueger or make Eichel happy after not trading for him the previous year. Staal is a hard one; the idea behind the trade was solid; a vet C/W for a less celebrated one. It failed in hindsight but wasn’t abjectly bad at n the immediate. If I could go back in time I’d of kept ROR, made Eichel respect his elders so he wouldn’t become toxic and signed Reinhart when Botts had the opportunity. Additionally I bring back Pommers for the COVID season with Vanek to play the 3rd line with Mitts. Traded Risto + 4th for Ehlers and played harder ball with Skinner’s contract. If all goes well, 2019-2020 has Skinner - RoR - ??? Ehlers - Eichel - Reinhart Vanek - Mitts - Pominville ??? - ??? - ??? Dahlin - Montour Scandella - Jokiharju ??? - Miller That could very well make the playoffs.
  15. All I can say is that I am sorely disappointed. They seem determined to be the feeder team to the rest of the league by developing and then alienating players until they ask out or fall into a depressive spiral. The fact Adams apparently presented to Pegula for multiple days makes me even less enthused as it likely means that rather than Pegula not caring or being a cheap skate; he's likely just getting the wool pulled over his eyes over and over again. Granted that would make Adams some sort of Machiavellian villain but it could be the case. He's a guy who ingratiated his way up the ladder with the Pegulas, gained their inherent trust and now holds one of the most powerful positions under them. Adams saying Pegula will give him whatever money he needs doesn't necessarily have to be a lie. If my boss said to me, here's a blank check and you're goal was retaining your job would you actually look to use it to its entirety. Instead using under the budget makes you look smart and fiscally savvy. Pegula wants to know how the team can succeed and thus Adams gives a multiple day presentation using specially procured data to show the team is on the precipice of greatness. Pegula has 50 things on his mind and a trust issue after Lafontaine and Murray; Adams is in a unique situation where he's the trusted advisor. Regardless of the standings; if data "says" the team should be doing better; its not unrealistic for Terry to look at it and chalk it up to bad luck. Effectively Terry Pegula is a fan of the team who has plenty of distractions and thus can be manipulated. Adams doesn't need to sell us the team's future; only Terry.
  16. The hockey gods love watching us suffer eliminated from pick 2
  17. Why am I not surprised that Philly, Pittsburgh and NYI are still there
  18. There's our native idiot on the zoom call
  19. I’ll be rooting for as much checking and physical damage as possible
  20. I think the only positive to come from our playoff drought is the lack of stress that comes from playoff hockey. Just imagine being a Blues or Avs fan tonight after playing knockout, drag out games, having a a 2 goal lead and choking it. Not to say I wouldn’t mind a bit of playoff stress but I’d be in tears if I were a Blues fan. They just had their Bills equivalent to the 13 seconds game.
  21. Put up a hat trick in the pre tournie game
  22. Kid has shown he'll have a few stinkers but also incredibly good at shutouts
