  1. Biggest mistake in that deal for Snow was including Moulson in it It made no sense for him to do that, he basically gave up picks to slightly upgrade Moulson on the team. Picking up Vanek was a good idea, but they should not have done it at the expense of getting rid of Moulson, unless Snow forgot to have the Sabres to include Miller in the deal...
  2. Ah yes, the same Shane Doan who was everyones golden boy around here that TP had to run out and try to sign cause he was the answer to providing grit and leadershipBasically he was the 2012 version of this years Callahan.....
  3. yeah, but thats not as much fun as speculating its something even deeper, didn't look hard enough to notice the 5 o'clock part, good catch I like checking out the different masks too. Its funny, for someone who likes painted goalie masks, I have been searching around for a Hasek style mask to use for when I play in it
  4. Its a contract dump, they need the cap space (after they move a couple of guys back to the Marlies) in order to bring back Bolland from IR. When they picked up Gleason for Liles, they also took on some additional salary that is keeping them from being able to bring Bolland back up Most MLFers just think that Fraser hasn't been the same since his knee and head injuries. I haven't seen anyone refer to him as a nightmare though
  5. Its going to be a pretty quiet place around here when that happens.........
  6. Not an artist here, just a goalie who enjoys goalie masks and I have to see I have not been a fan of any of Miller masks. The dolls on the back look nothing like the 2 of them, I could tell that they were supposed to be nesting dolls but only cause I picked up on the difference between this one and his last mask was they changed anything that was from Vancouver to Russia (the torch, the dolls are sort of symbols for russia, etc), and it looks like Uncle Sam went back in for the tattoo again
  7. Either nesting dolls of Miller sees himself as being fat So who wants to start the rumors based on what the mask is telling everyone? Theres a clock behind them, could symbolize Miller time, could also mean his time as a Sabre is done? Noureens jersey appears to look similar to a Canadians jersey, meaning Miller is secretly wanting to go to the canadians, or because noureen is wearing it, and Koivu was once the Canadians captain, he is going to Anaheim to play for the Ducks! Now I'm just waiting for Eklund to read this and the twitter verse to explode with "Miller wants out of Buffalo and is going to play for the Ducks, E5!!!"
  8. I didn't even notice that the third photo wasn't just another angle on the 2010 mask, LOL So from the looks of it, its a slightly modified version of his 2010 mask? Uncle Sam goes through laser surgery to remove the tattoos, clover for luck, new torch, and the rings are replaced by the team USA logo
  9. Someone get him out of there immediately, all of this scoring/dominating is going to just destroy this kids confidence!!!!!!
  10. Are there photos of it?I have never been huge fans of Millers masks in the past.
  11. Wasn't it already reported what the Sabres said they wanted for Miller? Again, just because the Market is "lukewarm at best", that doesn't mean teams wouldn't want him, I'm sure that if he was put on waivers or was being given away for next to nothing the majority of the league would have claims in on him. The market for goaltenders is always a small one, there aren't many spots for them in the league with teams usually carrying only 2 on their roster. Teams that would be looking to spend on an upgrade in net aren't typically teams that are in playoff spots at this time, and ones that are having troubles and not in the playoffs right now typically aren't willing to give up much for a guy who becomes a UFA at the end of the season. As for the first big bit of whining, no one is making you stay a Sabres/Bills fan. You can leave whenever you want.
  12. well after he was drafted I hoped he was going to be starting this Sunday........... Does anyone know what this procedure was? Were they installing a zipper for easier access? Year one of his NFL career and his knees are taking a beating, not a good sign for a QB with one of the pluses/assets he has is that he can run
  13. which is funny cause your one of the big supporters of 'The Tank", which is all based off of hope...... Which is completely false, Its not that no one wants him, its that no one wants to give up what the Sabres want for a rental for the next few months.
  14. ............Just so he can be traded later that year to a team he may not be able to control He isn't signing a one year deal, there will be multi-year offers for him as a FA. If Buffalo re-signs him, it won't be for a year so they can trade him for assets at the deadline
  15. And where is that team right now? Looking at dumping him cause they don't want to pay him what you say he is worth even with the increase in the cap
  16. My point was that after this one time jump in the cap, theres no idea how much of an increase (if any) there will be year to year. To say that overpaying for someone this year will be no problem cause the cap will increase year to year is just not true if the cap is only increasing a few million from year to year
  17. Which is still only 3/4ths of a season
  18. No, you are hoping/assuming/Praying that the cap just continues to go upI don't think anyone is predicting that cap will continue to climb substantially after this years one time jump due to the cut back they did from the lockout Its unlikely its going to go down but the increase from year to year after this offseason will be more in line with what the increases were year to year prior to the lockout.
  19. since 2006/07 he has played more then 60 games in a season only 3 times (81 in 08/09, 77 in 09/10, and 76 in 11/12). He has 1 other seasons where he hit 60 games (10/11) this year he is on pace for 65 games While he is not Timmy when it comes to fragility, he still misses chunks of time for injuries and as he ages, I doubt thats going to get much better
  20. Mine didn't even have the guides. It was original 6, with the teams printed on the sideIt had a metal score board that attached on each side and hung over centre ice with plastic slides for the score and a fake clock with movable plastic hand. Just below the core board was this metal thing that the puck with a small magnet inside would attach to, and when you were ready for the faceoff one person would hit a tab on the side of the metal thing and it would drop the puck My grandfather gave it to me when I was a kid, it was my dads old game from when he was a kid. Still have it in my moms basement, its in its original box thats in not bad shape for its age.
  21. At this moment maybe, if the deal is short term. But do you really think that in 3-5 years paying $7 mil to a guy thats hurt alot before reaching 30 isn't going to hurt them when they are trying to contend and have guys on rookie deals now looking for new deals?
  22. No, I got the sarcasm and was just adding to it
  23. maybe they can't afford to obtain any of the leagues top talent?
  24. And he would love to sign here and spend the next 2-3 years not contending for a playoff spot Don't the Sabres already have someone similar already in Ott?
