Listened to Lucics interview with a Boston station replayed on 1040 am this morning out of Vancouver and he claims that he was hit twice unprovoked and never hit the guy back. He also said he's pressing charges against this guy. If his side of the story holds up he did the right thing but really he should have clobbered that punk.

TSN has a story about Lucic in a scuffle outside a Vancouver nightclub the other night. Most likely Roxys. Video on youtube.

That ship has sailed. IMO it went out with Regier. Since the new guys have taken over I've seen improvement in how they play, how they practice, their mindset, how they treat the young guys and how they believe young guys should be developed. The results aren't there quite yet but the loser mentality left in Regiers suitcase imo.

Watching Marty Biron in front of the camera on thats hockey tonight on TSN2 and that boy is a natural. Very articulate and he does love to talk. Comes across as very informed and on top of whats going on league wide.

Corey Tropp just took a few good shots from Zack Sills in their game. Tropp layed him down with a good hit and Sills took exception.

If I knew how to link this stuff I would. Its an article in Yahoo sports by Nicholas J. Cotsonicka. I never watched the game only the highlights so I don't know if Thornton was put on the ice every time Orpik went out but the way this article is written it implies that he was.

And what about Claude Julian ? He put Thornton on the ice to get retribution for the hit on Erickson which was clean imo. He apparently put him on the ice every time Orpik was out til he got him. The league has set a precedent in situations like this. I don't believe in punishing player selection but you have to wonder.

Yeah I caught that. I agree the James Neal knee on Marchand(as much as I hate him) was bad. I would think the league has to look at that as well being it was a classic head shot where the head was targeted and the primary .

Pat LaFontaine/Ted Nolan seem to have more smarts in their first month on the job than Regier gained in 17 years. How Regier could hoodwink a naive Fan/owner into believing he was operating this team the way it was supposed to be run as opposed to the way the vast majority of teams do things is beyond me. Its eyeopening to hear everything Nolan says has been done wrong and it all seems to make perfect sense in relation to working for your icetime, developing with your peers, being put in a position to succeed, etc. The fact that Pat Lala is actually doing his due diligence in his search for a G.M. when Regier seemingly hired the guy in the room rather than put in the work to bring in a coach that gave his players the best chance to succeed speaks volumes about who is more beneficial to the future success and health of this franchise. Despite the mess Regier left this team in I'm very excited about the future with the new guy calling the shots.

It says in the link you posted that the Canucks didn't score on the ensuing power play ? Regardless that was a pathetic display by Luongo and it appears the canucks have gained their reputation as divers and whiners honestly.
