Watching Marty Biron in front of the camera on thats hockey tonight on TSN2 and that boy is a natural. Very articulate and he does love to talk. Comes across as very informed and on top of whats going on league wide.

Corey Tropp just took a few good shots from Zack Sills in their game. Tropp layed him down with a good hit and Sills took exception.

And what about Claude Julian ? He put Thornton on the ice to get retribution for the hit on Erickson which was clean imo. He apparently put him on the ice every time Orpik was out til he got him. The league has set a precedent in situations like this. I don't believe in punishing player selection but you have to wonder.

Yeah I caught that. I agree the James Neal knee on Marchand(as much as I hate him) was bad. I would think the league has to look at that as well being it was a classic head shot where the head was targeted and the primary .

Pat LaFontaine/Ted Nolan seem to have more smarts in their first month on the job than Regier gained in 17 years. How Regier could hoodwink a naive Fan/owner into believing he was operating this team the way it was supposed to be run as opposed to the way the vast majority of teams do things is beyond me. Its eyeopening to hear everything Nolan says has been done wrong and it all seems to make perfect sense in relation to working for your icetime, developing with your peers, being put in a position to succeed, etc. The fact that Pat Lala is actually doing his due diligence in his search for a G.M. when Regier seemingly hired the guy in the room rather than put in the work to bring in a coach that gave his players the best chance to succeed speaks volumes about who is more beneficial to the future success and health of this franchise. Despite the mess Regier left this team in I'm very excited about the future with the new guy calling the shots.
