I remember it well. Mr. B13 , our P.E. instructor wouldn't allow anyone near his gymnasium with coloured socks. Had to be white or he'd blow the whistle and make the entire class do pushups or some other draconian form of punishment. Needless to say the Kramers of the class knew better than to show up sporting their black dress socks.

If I hear the media in Vancouver say that their fans are so knowledgable about hockey again I will puke. That statement is usually followed by 2 or 3 calls during the phone in segment that literally make you want to bang your head off the wall. Actually I think its some kind of collective deep rooted insecurity that makes the fans and media of one city or the other proclaim that they are the best fan base.

Man its going to be fun watching Garth Snows antics this year as he squirms under the pressure of potentially losing a generational talent. Hopefully the boneheaded moves continue.

Actually from what I've read on Sabrespace the people that post here are some of the most knowledgable hockey fans I've never met. I learn something new almost every time I stop in. I've played and watched hockey most of my life but every days a new day to learn something and this is the place to get it as far as I'm concerned.
