    So how much of this do you credit Ted Nolan with ? The guys playing smart hockey. For each other. For the record I agree with your post. I'm seeing the same things. Frankly its been happening for a while without much results but the team truly seem to care. They play hard most nights. Haven't seen too many passengers. Perhaps we're beginning to witness the culture change TN and GMTM have talked about ?

    I tend to agree. Their best years are behind them and even in their best years they couldn't get over the hump. I should add that in the following post old inkoslav may have misunderstood my usage of the word hump. :blush: I actually meant they couldn't win the big one. :blink:

    I have a thought on Grigorenko and Nolans use of the term lazy or lack of effort. I'm not sure if anyone remembers or has a link but earlier in the season Nolan stated that he judges players on not only effort in games but effort in practices. If a player is going through the motions in practice he can also be held back in the game because of it. So to those of you who watched the game and didn't see the same lack of effort that the coach saw perhaps it was a culmination of his effort in practice as well as his effort in the game that got him into a negative light ?

    This is where I'm at. Pending ufas are only worth what you can get for them so he's done good in that respect. And like Murray has said publicly if he doesn't move them he's done the Sabres a diservice. He's begun to build this team with the Kane/Bogasian trade. I like what I'm seeing.
