Wow. Gruesome. 2 or more? Not "more than 2" goals? Assuming you're right, that's pretty remarkable. I wonder what the league stats on that look like. Very nice. I don't have much to add to the game discussion generally, but I will say that Winnipeg's 3rd goal directly resulted from Lehner sloppily depositing, after a weak shot from the half-wall, a big juicy rebound right onto Armia's stick on the doorstep. -

How's the internet connection in your glass house? -
My vote is for some kind of hot sandwich with melted cheese. A philly cheese steak works. In Brooklyn there is a Cuban sandwich that is good enough that I would order it outside the arena.

Without First Overall Picks Has Our Rebuild Been Delayed?
nfreeman replied to woods-racer's topic in The Aud Club
I think the Sabres would've chosen Ekblad over Reino, and McD over Eichel, and would've been justified in doing so, and would've been better off now, because both of the guys they didn't get are better than the guys they got. And if McD had resulted in Babcock -- a huge if, btw -- that would've resulted in additional improvement. -

Without First Overall Picks Has Our Rebuild Been Delayed?

This strikes me as a pretty obvious "yes" -- ie it's pretty obvious that the Sabres would be better if they had better players. -
Awesome.

Doohickie makes a great point about neighborhood. I'd also suggest that if you consider whether you can swing buying a place in a hot neighborhood, with the idea that you would rent it out if and when you're ready to leave. (Even better if it has a basement apartment or other rental unit.) If you're handy and have the time and inclination, you can buy a fixer-upper and do the work yourselves over time. That way you amortize closing costs, get the benefit of long-term appreciation and can sell as and when you are ready.

D4rk -- if you're only going to be in a house for as little as 2-3 years, you should not buy. Leaving aside short-term market shifts, you will spend a ton in transaction costs, both coming and going, that will eat up any savings you might earn relative to renting. There is also the high risk of being unable to sell in a timely manner when you are ready to leave.

I too like the automatic delay of game rule, although I don't think its effect has been quite as substantial as WR posits.

Not that it matters, but there are 5 incorrect apostrophes in this post. However, the substance is spot on.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
nfreeman replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
My wife and I have been watching "The Crown" on Netflix. It's pretty good, but not great, and pretty slow in some spots. The reason I mention it is that in the episode we watched last night, the actor who plays Stannis Baratheon on Game of Thrones has a pretty big role as Winston Churchill's portrait artist. He was really good, but it was a bit strange as he was almost physically unrecognizable, but the voice was the same. -

Good man. -
No -- I just have them on different TVs. I owned the Roku (regular, not stick) first and was quite happy with it, but I needed something for a different TV and the fire stick was on sale for something really cheap (like $20), so I took a flyer on it. The 2 of them are more or less equivalent.
-
I have a Roku and an Amazon fire stick in addition to the chromecast, and the Roku and the fire stick are IMHO both much easier to use than the chromecast.
-
I freaking hate chromecast.

They wouldn't.

Not sure we have enough good play by Zemgus at any position to say definitively that he's better at one vs the other. I do think that with Larsson out, Zemgus has maybe his last and best chance to prove himself in Buffalo as a good contributor at forward.
-
It is kinda interesting that DDB may be buying into the notion that the team will be better off with Eichel, Reino, ROR and Zemgus all playing center -- even if that means that one of ROR and Reino is not in the "top 6." I kinda think Carrier is probably resting and will be in over D-Lo or Grant when the puck drops.
