I forgot about Tippet and your right his teams seemed like they always over achieved. I think he would be tougher than Housley.

I’m a season ticket holder here in Vegas and the Golden Knights compete. Yes they are an older team but all the players respect Gallant and he lets them play. He expects them to play hard. They started off the season slow due to the Schmidt suspension and Tuch injury. Both will be back soon and they should pick it up. I know all these teams play some systems but sometimes I think these players don’t like these systems. When I lived in Buffalo I really didn’t pay too much attention to the Bills as I fell more in love with the Sabres. I have always felt that both teams better have great scouting and that they better build both teams thru the draft because they have been practically farm teams for both leagues. Most don’t want to hear this but a lot of quality players don’t want to go to Buffalo. I still believe in this draft philosophy for both teams.

I know the game in Vegas Risto stunk. He should have been more aggressive on Eakins shortie. I hate to say it but these players have had bad coaching and bad players to play with and they are getting bad habits. This team needs a coaching staff that expects more and they need a swift kick in the ass.

I wasn’t able to watch the game but in all seriousness this is a tough road trip. Like I said last game I’m okay with losing as long as the effort is there. Not a fan of Phil Housley as coach. This team needs a coach that is tough and expects his players to work and work hard. Phil is not the right guy for this team.

I think this team needs a coach that is gonna let these guys show off their skill but have they have to work hard. It just seems to me like they lack a strong work ethic and are going thru the motions. I’m okay if you lose but play hard and if you lose so be it but at least put the effort in.

I thought the same. Why would you put Hutton in when Ullmark put up a shutout the game before. He shoulda played him again. I would even throw in New Jersey’s coach.

Was at the game tonight and thought that was one boring game. I’m not a fan of Housley’s system and a matter of fact I don’t even think he’s the right coach for this team. They need a coach like New Jersey’s or someone that going to let these guys play but get the most out of them and to be tough with them. It looks like they have a lot of speed on this team and it looks like it’s not getting used properly. I wouldn’t care if they lost if they played hard but it doesn’t look like it at all. Then you throw in that ***** power play Buffalo has. No movement at all and it’s very predictable.

Word is he wasn’t like by Management here in Vegas. That’s too many years for a player that isn’t fast.

Wow not impressed with this move. It must have been real bad in Sabre land that either O’Reilly wanted out or Buffalo didn’t want him back. The players they got back are Meh? The picks are okay but geez when do you finally stop this rebuild? Typical Buffalo move. I hope that this deal works out but on paper this doesn’t look good for Buffalo.

It’s like GM’s are afraid to trade roster players. It would be nice to see players get moved during the draft. Besides Dahlin which we all knew since the lottery the draft was boring.

He’s the only goalie I have ever seen that is so bad on shootouts. I knew if we got to the shootouts and he was in net we were definitely losing. Someone will take a chance on him. Never seen a goalie so bad at shootouts. Absolutely terrible.

Pelly just played his best hockey ever. This guy was pretty much on his way out of the league. What’s not to like about Ovi the guy is a great player. This year he put it all together.

I would do that trade. I thought Galchenyuk was the best player on the ice for Montreal when he was here in Vegas. O’Reilly seems like he lost interest in hockey playing with Buffalo.

Doug Weight let go as well. Should be interesting as I would love to see Tavares go to free agency.

So we know it’s gonn be Dahlin but I would like to know who they are targeting in the rest of the draft. Buffalo has to start hitting in rounds 2-7. If Botterill is going to fix this mess then they need to find gems throughout the draft.
