I'm not going to claim to have any sort of personal experience with the unwritten rules of hockey, but I think its pretty standard that you don't start throwing unless the other guy wants to go. There's always a back and forth of "you wanna go?" then a yeah, they both drop the gloves, and its a fight. If you go up to a guy and says "no" and you drop and throw anyways? You're a dick. Show me some other examples of a guy dropping his gloves and throwing before the other guy agrees, and I'll show you more sucker punches.

I'd say a sucker punch is any time someone throws a punch you aren't expecting. Since Ekblad had already said no to the fight, there's no reason for him to expect Domi to drop his glove and take a shot. ESPECIALLY in a freakin' preseason game.

I think assuming that Thompson is going to project to being better than Reinhart is giving Tage a bit more credit than he's earned thus far. It could certainly happen but its far from a guarantee.

Can the Sabres still offer sheet Nylander? Because they absolutely should do that. Who cares about pissing off Toronto, they're never going to trade with you anyways. We have a bunch of extra picks over the next few years, so who cares if we lose a few.

Siggy is my favorite guy right now I think. They've been in need of some defensive help for YEARS now, they just don't seem to get it. Maybe they can win the lottery this year?

When I started following them they were a consistent Europa League player, fighting for a shot at the champions league. That's what I thought I was getting 4 years ago. I haven't watched them much since Lukaku left, honestly.

Right, but that's the only time those types of players get traded.

I think one thing we learned this year, from the Kane, Hoffman, ROR, Skinner, and Karlsson trades, is that seemingly high value players don't actually garner that high a value in the trade market. Teams have a limit on how much they're willing to spend regardless of the value of a player.

Looks like Eichel, Dahlin, and Skinner won't play tonight, so they'll probably play tomorrow at home.

Originial movie came out in 2010 (holy god I can't believe its been that long) and Ullmark is 25, so he would have been 17 when it came out. Wouldn't say he really 'grew up' with them in like a little kid way. That said I tried to find an answer to why he has them and I came up blank.
