  1. I am going to miss your daily wrap up summaries... Anyway we can hit a button and somehow make the prosecution reconsider if only to keep the histrionics going...?
  2. No worries, I am safe... if you even got close with lotion, she would do unspeakable things to me that I would never recover from... that being said, nice photo...sigh...
  3. Oh, you can do that any time to me sweetie... nice set up, just don't tell my wife. :P Lotion that is... on my skin...
  4. So physics, what you are saying is that the 911 conspiracy theorist who claim it didn't happen belong with these cold fusion types... OK I get it.
  5. Sustained, I agree, even when my wife and I talk, I lose every arguement and she always gets the last word. I think at this point the prosecution should rest. The evidence is in and I think it is a slam dunk... err wrong sport, the biscuit is in the basket, guility as charged....
  6. Get voting then... and clear your cash and vote again...er your temporary internet files. For those who don't know how to scroll up: http://poy.tsn.ca/
  7. It is funny that it could be Datsyuk... let see if we can mess that up. Keep checking the site for that match-up and then vote and vote often. Something to do while we @$%#$#% before the draft. Still it would be funny if Datsyuk lost :wallbash:
  8. From my reading you need to include equal point value in your trade ups or probably slightly more as described in another thread. The other question I have as stated in another thread is there doesn't appear to be any kind of weighting for the estimated value of the current draft. This draft IMO, is different than a lot of them in the sense that I don't think the top 1 or 2 are that much ahead of the rest and the drop off after 3 or 4 doesn't seem to be as great as in past years based on what I have read. This could all be blowing smoke as far as talent evaluators go and much of the estimations that state this is a deep draft could all be part of an echo chamber like in politics, someone says something false, another repeats and it takes an extra set of effort to show that in fact the original statement was blantently false because people start believing it. Still from what I have seen and read of the upcoming guys, it appears this class is in fact deep, so for now I guess I will join the echo chamber. So assuming the echo chamber is correct, I think that somehow, the pre-echo chamber should be incorporated into what teams are likely to consider paying for moving up to make estimate a little more valuable. Intuitively, though the curve should be similar, just a bit flatter, especially in the middle and starting below 100 would signal the relative value from one draft to another.
  9. To quote Jim Croce, "That's a winter time woman" so at least it makes her a Buffalo prospect...
  10. Just posted and deleted the same thing after I saw your post... Really over a list and a Capstone project, someone needs to find a big Fatty to mellow them out.... Dudes.
  11. Be careful of that 13 minute gap... But they are watching you anyway
  12. Me too... fell asleep on the couch the 2nd and 3rd OTs. Both teams skating, hitting and playing everyone. Finally a team that has the depth to work at the same level as the Bruins with more skill and almost as much moxie in the corners. This should be fun to watch.
  13. Interesting Capstone project, love the idea. Keep working on it and consider explaining your current prospects with a note that this ranking "may" change after the draft. Not sure what your time frame is to work on this, but think about your rankings of each guy. You left the High Schoolers that the Sabres drafted the last couple of years and are steadily improving in the college ranks. I might consider this list 50 deep. Content will your biggest obstacle. P.S. Paul Weiland still around. Loved him as announcer though briefly on WGR. Met his daughter in the political arena in DC years ago.
  14. I agree with the bolded part, especially because they also lost Dubinski in the trade for Nash. Losing one, okay, but both those character guys was too much and it messed up the chemistry especially with the prima donas of Gaborik and Brad Richards. Their fragile egos and lack of defense killed the Rangers when the were not scoring. Ruff and Dubinski always hustled on defense. I just think it was too much losing both guys. Also, I agree, I am not sure Lindy is ready for NYC and the NY Post. Although they might be tame compared to the Buffalo news guys and often they just make up crap that everyone laughs at.
  15. Here is what I have heard from a couple an area sports reporter. He said three things occurred. Lundqvist hesitated resigning an extension because of Torts, also Sather asked that he play some of the young guys more and Torts was reported to have said, "when they start playing hockey, I will." The question was in reference to Torts shortening his bench, while the Bruins rolled 4 lines. And finally, Sather was quoted as saying he didn't have any intention of firing Torts, but too many players complained about his coaching style on exit interviews. The reporters analysis was that Torts own stubborness and unwillingness to be flexible got him fired. Ruff, I think is a little more flexible on style with given talent, but is generally considered Torts lite... i.e., his defense first style. It might fit the Rangers, but most fans here think it is a bad idea. I am not sure where the Ranger go with a coach. Right now I would say it is at most 50-50 Ruff but probably a lot less. If they are clearing house, Jim Schoenfeld would make a nice assistant coach and potential replacement  for DR.
  16. Agreed tough to choose between Cindy or that little ######wood Marchand. At least the Bruins had enough sense to let go of that whiner Thomas, still I would love that team if it were in Buffalo. I couldn't stand Pitts even if they were in Buff cause I would be forced to defend Efin Ginny and Cindy. Even Jagr, who is the former Malkin on the Quins is playing tough. Man that guy has a set of hands. Again, too bad those guys are on Bruins.
  17. That had to be a left over of the Roy era.
  18. Jeez walked away for 2 min and the Bruins score twice. Sorry saw the Krug goal, 4 goals in 5 games with a cannon of a shot. If only Erhoff could hit the net like this kid. Rangers a step slow the whole third period and just didn't show up... Bruins v Pitt, can't figure out who I am will root against.
  19. Rangers up 1-0 over Bruins, playing chippy, but so is Boston. Went right after Stephan after he came back on from getting hit in the face with a puck. Brutal, but so are Rangers playing physical w/o that pansy Richards sulking on the ice.
  20. Just had to include this article's link in this thread: I couldn't agree more: http://www.buffalone...PORTS/130529720 Between this and the fan reaction list, I at the stage where I have said the f-bomb a few times, scared the kids and now am just moping, not quite catatonic but moping. All I can do is watch the playoffs w/o Buffalo and marvel at Pavel Daytsuk while rooting against the Kings and Blackhawks and wondering how much blood is going to be spilled in the Boston Pitt series.
  21. Interesting how the ball is starting to roll. IMO Briere for right price is better than Richards for any price. Not as much as Stafford, at least the guy could carry the puck up ice and hustled. His problem was size and injuries.
  22. Yep Canadians are the biggest Whinners... look at their best player Cindy Crosby... I want my Muum is all I heard during my summers in ONT. Down here in the lower 48 which use swear words you Canucks are shall we say very uncomfortable with... :censored: :w00t:. I know, I couldn't resist a little overstatement fun. Really, who cares, even our own National Anthem singers have screwed up the Star Spangled Banner, so while she looked stupid afterwards really we don't have much of a leg to stand on when this issue comes up... I guess alcohol flows well on both sides of the border before hockey games... Just for fun: http://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?p=National+anthem+screw+ups+top+10
  23. I am of two minds in respect to this. I think verbally he does care and if emotionally when the team is going bad he can't step up or he needs the game to be fun for him to play well then that is on coaching to figure that out. Guy who are hard on themselves are tough to deal with they need lots of positive encouragement, something they are not going to get from this board. It may explain why after a game he seems so relieved the times I have seen him, the piano is off his back. Get the boy a shrink and help him get past this thing or move him. I am at the point that I say move him. I agree at his best he is something to watch, but it has been too far and few between. My only other thought his move him to opposite wing with Vanek and see what happens. Been a long time Drew hater, don't hate the man, just can't stand the lack of effort to go "through a wall"... the boy needs to lead by example, not be a follower and he has the talent to do so.
  24. I think he keeps making progress... he started shooting more toward the end of the year and showed he can actually put the puck on net. He has a heavy shot, not necessarily a high shot, but one good for redirecting. If he keeps doing that, skating the puck out of his own zone more and still being hard nose, I think he easily can be a 3-4 D. He is not quite there, but I don't think he is far off and I really like he compete level.
  25. Part of Darcy's legacy, still concerned about this year's draft. Wonder if the Sabres trade Miller and Vanek, could they really suck in the stretch run to end up with the number 1 pick the following year? On the hit I think Pyatt held up and should get a pass mostly hit him with his hips arms were above his head. Plus Boychuck embellished staying down like he was gone for the series yet he played the next shift... pulled a Richards without the searching for which part of his body was actually hurt.
