Agreed the left cant miss the message. They f'd up on the middle class economic message... there was very little message. And in a vacuum Trump easily stepped in... One reason why Bernie did so good against her. She didnt bring any new ideas to specifically address the middle class, nor emmphasized any kind of message.

I know its symantics, Trump is going to President... true, but there is still plenty to be done about it. On the gun side I have shot guns, my Dad made me take an NRA safety class at 14 because during the summer in canada where we vacationed, folks had them and he knew Id be around them. I always have respected them and want my boys to learn to use them in controlled corcumstances only and to respect them as well.

Agreed, and even a whip has only so much control to a stobborn group of Congressmmen. On the Senate side is where the real power is. Each Senator is an Island and a source of disruption.On the Trump CEO side of things, from folks that i have talked to that worked for him. He sets the deal, probably learned from his failures, and expect them to be executed or walked away from. Problem is Congress has no problem walking away if they dont like it and then blaming the President for being inflexible. PS, hard to just walk away and I am not sure Trump knows how to compromise... shall be interesting.

Sorry you took it that way, not so much belittling, but stating a growing observation. You are not the only one asking that question. NATO stood strong against Russian ambition during the cold war... Putin has shown a desire to return to that ambition in Syria, with Iran and In the Ukraine. A powerful unrestrained Putin is just scary... Russia is still disappointed by its territorial control losses post cold war and would love a weakened america to take back control of many of those areas including the Balkins. Think very hard what a strong Putin really is and being buddy buddy would be seen as weakness. Just scary imo.

Iam not sure either, but I understand why it happens, especially in the polarized political environment of this last election and the intensity of it for 2 years, bound to be some reaction.
