  1. But an accurate rep of NY. Though in this case with these two I am not sure what itvrepresents.
  2. I second this proposal... All in favor say Yea.
  3. Yeh Glass Steagall repeal, a Gringrich Clinton deal, was a huge problem but Dodd-Frank was not, the banks did that all by themselves and then blamed Congress... bs
  4. It is interesting that a Fed grant is going to allow our community hospital to build an addition for a walk in 24-7 out patient clinic to separate out those who use the ER as their primary care facility, from those who are actually critical. These patients dont want or trust the doc in a box clinics that have sprouted up or cant use them because of their 9-5 schedule because they are working class. They need to be able to go one place for their medical needs onntheir schedule.
  5. Sing him Maureen McGovern's "There's got to be a Morning After".... Poisiden Adventure I think.
  6. Sabres are close to playoffs but are sellers of Kane and Ennis for D help or a prospect scoring forward(s)
  7. Hey even though I am not thrilled by the results, I wish everyone understood the hockey ethos where everyone shakes hands and tells the opposite team good game.
  8. Both and chasing MR license now for extra pay. Yeh it gets stupid, did 8 head max/facial scans on drunks the other night all negative but Docs had to cover their butts. Listed headaches as reason for scans:(
  9. Welcome to my life in an Urban hospital, been going on for a long time. ACA and the merging of support for local community hospitals has helped stem the tide of closing in our area. Again not an easy issue and agree the hodge podge as well intentioned as it is, has created as many problems as it tried to address. I too would love to see these issues solved in less a one size fits all and more well thought out manner. Unfortunately as a former political that process is less than ideal, no matter your perspective. Keep up the good work and maybe more rational minds can find practicle solutions that work.
  10. Dems need a perceived moderate on economy to spread out base witha lift all up message. Devisive interest group economic politics dont work for them any better than Republicans and economically Trump isnt seen as an ideologue in that respect.
  11. Rubio but he needs to be tougher. Also thinking one of the Western governors..
  12. Those people losing their insurance will be a terrible thing... Obama needs reform and cost control, but folks still need to be insured or will cost you and me even more.
  13. That and preventing a full on banking collapse is a success in my book.
  14. Another hard to measure issue was Clinton's alienation of males by her optics with women's issues. Not as concerned about gender divide percent except raw numbers in battle ground states and especially how it effected non-white vote. Divide was there in large part due to Trump, but she deepened it imo with her not so subtle exclusion of males in the focus of her speeches... she didnt reach out, put out an olive branch as it were, on issues of concern to males... like the economy and balancing the Budget. Gun stance in upper midwest had to hurt with gender issue.
  15. Trump did a lot to put those legacies in box.
  16. True, or she just isnt a very good campaigner and he definetly is.
  17. Sell them to Trump... pure capitalism
  18. There was a question I thought about why EC doesnt reflect popular vote.... just explaining why the difference and part of why Clinton lost and the divide politically in the US
  19. Oh no doubt there is a rural/city divide... Folks in the countryside more or less want to be left alone from especially federal government interference, where urban folks want more services for the high taxes they pay anyway. Both sides are adamant about their way of life. Not surprising you see this resulting split... and agree Clinton for whatever reason and her staff did not organize the ground game they needed. Eg Monominee reservation in Wisconsin I organized for Gore and pulled over 11000 votes from there. clinton received just over 4,000. Indicative of her over assumption of the midwestt.
  20. It forces candidates to spread out their base rather than concentrate strength in just a few population centers... done to get southern rural states at time of founders, to accept a union with more populate northern states.
  21. Probably not any time soon because we are in a sort of equilibrium, where the parties are splitting the electorate fairly evenly... The closeness in competition makes the vitriol and stakes that more intense. The closeness of the levels of both parties combined with the new instant news cycle has made this whole process very... ?? drug like in its expression.
  22. gonna be a long 4 years...
  23. Canadian immigration site crashed last nite.
  24. Nuck, Run to the Hills...
