  6. In context my 82 year old Dad didnt like Trump and doesnt like blowhards in general so he sent me this link, its funny, take it for what its worth: Analysis of Trump winning: https://medium.com/@SnoozeInBrief/an-analysis-of-donald-trumps-election-win-and-the-prospects-for-his-presidency-f6a87eef6d70#.fddpjma61
  7. Agreed but Liberals misuse that term, especially on the waste side of things. That being said being conservative and pro military fiscally speaking is an oxymoron.
  8. . Two points, sorry I was actually defining JJ and stupid iphone had me quoting you twice, I wasnt defining you as regressive. Second to the definition and political connotation progressive tends to denote moving foward not back, so if Trump decides to do something new say level the tax code Id call that progressive, but leveling it alone is not inherently progressive, just our tax code is badly regressive for the middle class. Getting rid of tax shelters and loophole would help level it. Finally as far as you go, I think of you as more a pragmatist and intellectual instigator :) Somettimes on both sides of the spectrum in the same subject... We called you flaming moderates for whats its worth, poltically speaking an endangered species.
  9. Again, with the way Republicans and more to the point Trump manipulate words, using Progressive to move make the clock back on social issues is called regressive. So trying to call a regressive a progressive is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to coopt the word progressive when it is more appropriately regressive, especially in the current political lexicon. JJ I wouldnt label you as a right wing conservative, maybe an endangered moderate... :) but that is not a bad thing imo. Hey I wouldnt call me a progressive on certain issues either and down right conservative on others maybe because of how I differ from progressives on how I would accomplish similar goals. Political connotations I would agree are often changing and floating up in the ephemeral stratosphere. That being said, no way are you a progressive.
  10. ag got it using progressive as a relative term... lol so what would the term to use for democrats...
  11. Nice coopting of the word progressive... lol Sigh Trump is definitly something but progressive isnt one of them.
  12. Yeh we do our best... still with both my wife and I working sometimes he needs more, consistency and letting him know our schedule seems to help. As medical professionals it can be tricky telling work no.
  13. . LMAO, it sucks and Im in the same boat worrying? How did folks make it through three of us.
  14. Agreed the left cant miss the message. They f'd up on the middle class economic message... there was very little message. And in a vacuum Trump easily stepped in... One reason why Bernie did so good against her. She didnt bring any new ideas to specifically address the middle class, nor emmphasized any kind of message.
  15. I know a good Psychologist in our ER he has good meds for you and we could find a padded room without windows if you want. Do require an I love me jacket:)
  16. I know its symantics, Trump is going to President... true, but there is still plenty to be done about it. On the gun side I have shot guns, my Dad made me take an NRA safety class at 14 because during the summer in canada where we vacationed, folks had them and he knew Id be around them. I always have respected them and want my boys to learn to use them in controlled corcumstances only and to respect them as well.
  17. Speakes for itself...
  18. Where Bogo is sadly missed, is John Scott available?
  19. I have 2 boys hitting puberty, having guns around is more dangerous to my immediacy than Trump as President. Still have non problem with guns as long as proper background checks are done.
  20. Dont have too like or accept... just survive... acceptance is too pacifistic.... I am surprised by you Hank didnt think of you that way.
  21. Or Hank any more myopic.
  22. Except the Senate especially has a tin ear to that kinda shiite.
  23. Agreed, and even a whip has only so much control to a stobborn group of Congressmmen. On the Senate side is where the real power is. Each Senator is an Island and a source of disruption. On the Trump CEO side of things, from folks that i have talked to that worked for him. He sets the deal, probably learned from his failures, and expect them to be executed or walked away from. Problem is Congress has no problem walking away if they dont like it and then blaming the President for being inflexible. PS, hard to just walk away and I am not sure Trump knows how to compromise... shall be interesting.
  24. Sigh... you are right, but am sorely disappointed it hasn't, or isn't, or can't happen sooner... So what is the 2017 draft looking like... Any solid good sized puck moving D out there?
