Again, with the way Republicans and more to the point Trump manipulate words, using Progressive to move make the clock back on social issues is called regressive. So trying to call a regressive a progressive is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to coopt the word progressive when it is more appropriately regressive, especially in the current political lexicon. JJ I wouldnt label you as a right wing conservative, maybe an endangered moderate... :) but that is not a bad thing imo. Hey I wouldnt call me a progressive on certain issues either and down right conservative on others maybe because of how I differ from progressives on how I would accomplish similar goals. I know its symantics, Trump is going to President... true, but there is still plenty to be done about it. On the gun side I have shot guns, my Dad made me take an NRA safety class at 14 because during the summer in canada where we vacationed, folks had them and he knew Id be around them. I always have respected them and want my boys to learn to use them in controlled corcumstances only and to respect them as well.

Agreed, and even a whip has only so much control to a stobborn group of Congressmmen. On the Senate side is where the real power is. Each Senator is an Island and a source of disruption.On the Trump CEO side of things, from folks that i have talked to that worked for him. He sets the deal, probably learned from his failures, and expect them to be executed or walked away from. Problem is Congress has no problem walking away if they dont like it and then blaming the President for being inflexible. PS, hard to just walk away and I am not sure Trump knows how to compromise... shall be interesting.
