Goaltending looks awful, but sustaining pressure in offensive zone seems decent. Agreed they are missing something, but didn't look like they were sleep walking, just inept at times and again they have these glaring mental lapses that end up in the back of the net. Not sure they have enough of the players on offense that can play the type of game Housley wants them to play. Gonna need to find guys that have more pace and skill. Beulieu needs to sit, have Falk play in his place. The lines don't seem to mesh well... think it is time to trade Kane and get some guys who can skate while handling the biscuit. Their passes are off too much.

They are not playing badly except for the brain farts that end up in the back of the net and they cannot buy a goal. Not sure what the infection is, but jeez its bad... thinking its ICU protocol... thinking they are working so hard on structure than are not playing offense naturally... Once they figure it out and it becomes rote, this swoon will pass, but man is it painful.

Always seemed to be a nice guy, worked driving limos while going back to RAD school and gave him a ride from MSG to the airport in 2011, couldnt have been more gracious. Dont always like his repetitive analysis in recent years but never any hate for him. Didnt know he was an Amherst grad... go Tigers class of ‘82!

I think the Sabres can get more for Kane than Cole and a late round, dead last first.

He is gripping the stick too much... got away from shooting early in the season trying to make passes, now he is shooting but just seems off with his accuracy just a bit and is trying too hard... as you say with a backetball shooter... he just needs to keep shooting and it will come.

Nah, tastes like chicken... I want the Sabres to get better and sure would love to see them win... but if they are going to lose do the whole Monte... don't mess around. Team looked better tonight despite the loss. They controlled most of the third and the Tampa goalie played really well. Jack is gripping his stick, had a bunch of lasers miss the net close... KO, Sam and Kane were crashing the net all night even Moulson worked hard.... and the D looked better. Noticed that the Sabres wingers were getting back better and when the D moved up and had a bunch of chances in the high slot... despite the score it wasn't a bad game to watch. You can see finally the Housley effect is starting to take hold all they need is some goal scorers. The bottom lines only have a guy or two that can score.. so depth is a big issue... Not sure if the Sabres don't draft number 1 that they should take a D... or if they trade Kane and say Gorges and can get a D prospect then go for a scorer, and draft a D later on. They need Middlestud and Nylander to take the next step in the worst sort of way... next year. Hopefully JBOT can find some gems later on... but those will be in Rochester for at least a year... I know patience after the last couple years is tough, but I am resigned to it and just hope they keep working.

Agree work on devopment in Rochester... get something good for Kane and Gorges if possible... Get D to keep working on Housley system a unintended Tank continue... Stalin for Dahlin... this season is done from a playoff deal but get the NHL guys to keep gaining an understanding of what they need to do and have a team plan for the off season...
