  1. Still think Housley is looking for his guys... betting a lot of movement over the next year. Especially on D... Bogo?? McCabe... and some of the young guys coming up from Rochester. It will be interesting to see the type of players they decide to draft...
  2. Pulliot from ROR on shorty.
  3. Agree from the parts I saw, Lehner hiccups but was solid and great the rest of the game. Can't wait till he finally calms down a little more. Still think he can be a number one if the D plays like they did tonight. Loved the snarl, finally say a forcheck. Only guy again who needs to step up is Sam... way too passive... ROR had a really good game... looked engaged and shorty was a thing of beauty, the hustle and pass to Pulliot.
  4. . More importantly they need guys who can pass, having neither except Jack they really stink and guys who can snipe, a team playing together can overcome a speed deficit, these guys dont know or dont have the puck skills to corral the puck. A good passing team can overcome a lot.
  5. Darn use to do this stuff for USDA fcic but been outta practice for 10 years.
  6. Matt I get it and wonder if you have a sense of what stats or ratio of stats make for better predictors. Are there certain minimal standards that predict whether a prospect can reach the next level or are we not that far a long in determining them. i.e., number of shots and number of hits combined make a better player?
  7. I was told theyd love to have me back but dont wasnt worth the aggrevation. And when I was twelve was told after getting a 10 speed the next one I pay for. Payed for most my college including 3 years at GW by working and living on my own. Not a be all end all but learned how to survive and get ahead. Now have a house and apartment and working to save for a rental property once my house is paid off in 7 years to provide steady income for my kids once im gone. I have a special needs child as many here know and my oldest who is not will need assistance. Luckily both my wife and I are above the Trump income penalty so we should do ok with the upcoming tax bill as I understand it. I am able to build faster because the house is rented and making more than mortgage taxes and insurance plus upkeep and taxes less than penalty of 10,000$
  8. Now that is an insult but off because most live rent free right out of the gate at home...
  9. Good for you... :) an exception to the mellenial complacency... welcome to the real world... Doub t is x’d out?
  10. . If we get one more in top of draft this year, trade for one I think McCabe and Antpin can be serviceable bottom 2 so really all that is needed is pipeline and a top starter in a trade though may be hard to find one in a trade..
  11. True now if only the millenials will get to work and stop whining and the Boomers will die and stop whining.. you know something about that :) still living at home I expect.
  12. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=jokers+to+the+right+jokers+to+the+left&t=iphone&iax=images&ia=images&iai=http%3A%2F%2F24.media.tumblr.com%2Ftumblr_l18jqp2hnC1qznaxpo1_500.jpg https://cdn.meme.am/instances/59126736/clowns-to-the-left-of-me-jokers-to-the-right-here-i-am-stuck-in-the-middle-with-you.jpg
  13. Fine im neither, agree, I am stuck in between both of these selfish groups so f off all of them...
  14. Only if you work at it... :)
  15. That is called immaturity... he needs to adjust his game and figure it out, coaches can help but he has to work at it. millenials if it doesnt come easy give up..
  16. Agree and that is why the eye test is important, it can help figure out which guys are still developing and which guys have reached a ceiling. Where the holes are physically mentally and maturity wise are hard to quantify by stats.
  17. Stats are not about absolutes, though people misinterpret them as such. Again they are a useful tool in predicting likely outcomes. Though not a be all end all. A savy GM knows how to combine both eye test drive and character with stats. Still using quality combined stats can help avoid blantant mistakes and show holes in the eye test.
  18. . And you left out McNabb who seems to be playing better in Vegas Agree with all the above, though granted expected some trades, the Lehner deal to me was the biggest unecessary give away.
  19. Watched Nashville last night, their puck movement transition, puck handling was awesome as they picked apart the Bruins in the first period and Bruins didnt play bad they had chances, enjoyable game to watch. To bad exhausted. PS D for Nashville was fast and physical and even Chara got nailed. No fear by forwards in corners, hard and fast no let up.
  20. Rakish hes trolling you, I appreciate your analytical attempt to stastically evaluate an inexact science and provide values to players likely success. Let ink go... you are too good at what your doing to let his provoking get to you. IMO you provide interesting perspective on a highly variable evaluation.
  21. Not enough..
  22. Exactly
  23. Also didnt include Lehner... definite possibility given rumors and needs of other teams..
  24. So you say they breaking ground... ok i can go with that...
