Scandella, Pilut and Bailey - Sabres Next Season?
North Buffalo replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Or rotate those 1or 2 to keep as incentive to work hard down in Rochester as a reward and see who is developing. -
Sigh. I too am hopeful and I think folks are splitting hairs between what we hope is Dahlin’s estimated potential and what he actually becomes. Would love to see him become an all world defenseman but would be happy if he is a solid number 1 D. I wont fall out if he is not all thst because I see JBotts building a solid developing team with maybe two more years to go. I am hoping between this year and next years’s draft, the talent rebuild should be complete and its just a matter of coaching. If Dhalin and Ghule make the team then to me as been stated ad infinitum lately the needs some scorers and a strong goalie. Here is hoping and watching a fun brand of hockey in the near future happen.

I am just having fun with both Casey and Rasi D because what else is there when it comes to the Sabres. I have limited expectations this year and still think they are couple of top end players especially on offense and development away. Hopefully 2 1sts in the 2019 draft get Sabres close talent wise as some of the young guys in AHL step up. Again being all in on Dahleen and Casey is our Lord and Savior is fun even if a few years away till fruition.

Quicker, I disagree, ROR is more skilled and tougher though, I think Sam is developing in the corners... he just needs to keep working at it. ROR is a moose in the corners, better shielder. Sam has moments and have seen him occasionally find space, but ROR creates space with his body. Also, Sam does have another gear up the wing and only just started to show it late last season. He plays too much under control, needs to skate with more abandon that he has shown he can but rarely. More mental imo.

Depends on the return? I am not for throughing out the baby with the bath water... more about developing. If those two are considered good pieces which I think as a developing team they are. Both bring very different things to the table and probably need to think about what happens should one be subtracted. Sabres are not good enough on offense to be subtracting top six talent. Until others step up at their level, Im not for trading either or comparing.

Cool! The guy who was our guide kayaking was a Cherokee/Ojibway Red Cliff native american. He was awesome. HIGHLY RECOMMEND VISITING the caves at the Madeleine Islands thru him, And yes they still trap and hunt.

Love it. My wife and with our teo boys just got back from a 3 week trip across the northern part of the US. We drove and camped in a converted haul tailer. Pics too big to post from Iphone. We went to Niiagra Falls Maid of the Mist, Detroit and saw the Hiedelberg project... met the artist, camped up near Mackinaw Island, across southen lake Superior, Kayaking in caves along the Madeleine Islands, stopped at some beaches and drove thru Superior/Duluth... interesting old iron mill town. Stayed a night with my cousin a graphic design artist in St Paul. Roller Coastered in the Mall of Americas... Checked out Vikings new stadium... its awesome. Then on thru Fargo to Meduro ND where Teddy Roosevelt hunted and saw lots of Buffalo. Headed thru Montana... Billings MT is hole oil and gas town, but Boseman MT a college town is cool, lots of coffee barns! Headed up to Glacier National park alongside Emerald lake and camped in Algar at base of park along Lake MacDonald. Rode our bikes along flathead river on the highway to the Sun. Snow drifts right down to the road! From there it kept getting better, but gotta pic up dinner.

Everything from my past 20 plus years in active politics is political imo. That being said... it doesnt have to be nasty a la the news. Depression and potential suicidal thoughts and how the brain works with the complexities of society and how things such as mental illness is addressed is a tough one for political discussions because it is not something easily defined nor well understood, nor is it easily solvable. Mental illness comes with many social stigmas that many intolerant folks will look down on. I have had struggles with my own demons, especially when I was a teenager and young adult, though not as much recently. I have worked hard on not comparing myself to others and being gentle setting my own standards and reigning myself in when I get wrapped around the axle too much. The key for me is taking breaks and remembering nothing is all that important. All that is reguired is that I have a roof over my head, food on the table and some good people around me. Practicing a check of Hungry, angry, lonely or tired is a key and doing something simple to address those needs gets me me out of those funks. Meditation helps, phone calls, a good nap and remembering to pace myself really help. Good people often let me know when I am pushing too hard. Peace all :)
