Ironically Lehner got a shutout yesterday... good for him... Hutton fits this team better... calm leader -
Missed the 2nd and 3rd but watched the score as my wife and I drove around looking at fixer upper houses. Glad they won. The fact that they were rolling 3-4 lines and most of Vagues shots were from the outside in the first was a good sign. Hopefully Sabres can keep scoring and Berglund sure is a solid add.

Camden Yards has great food, so does Citifield. Separate Vendors and food truck types have their own areas. Why is one organization. (Delaware North) running it all. That is the problem. Let individual businesses/owners rent their own space and provide a variety of good food. Quality would increase and choices as well. Problem is structure imo.

Been awhile so TY but unfortunately mental health/drug addiction strategies understanding was just in its infancy, programs have come a long way and still have a long way to go. But a least they are not being shoved under the rug like they once were. It gives me hope..

Someone though who is a real musician... How about some House music:

Unfortunately my brother was one of those kids though more the intellectusl crowd. Help wasnt readily available, though a couple of rehabs and group home didnt take. He died of AIDs due to his drug addiction at age 36. My folks were heart broken and ps addiction doesnt discriminate.

GDT NY Rangers vs Buffalo Sabres at KBC 7pm ET MSG TV and WGR 550 AM

Jack played much better especially late. Loved Ellie and his speed forecheck ability, what I hoped Bailey would be. Blowieu was much better. -
Drink lots of coffee and hard candy helps.
-
So who on the forward lines got dropped for Ellie? Ah Sobotka..

It’s an ER doc giving a warning to the trust fund classes. God, I see enough of it in the ER. The denial of the parents then seeing them break down down as they realize that their son or daughter is in a real dangerous spot. Its heart breaking too because non of their money can save their kid at that moment.

Phil Housley's Future as Sabres Head Coach
North Buffalo replied to Kruppstahl's topic in The Aud Club
I no longer think he is the right guy. I think he is trying, but I think he is struggling to figure out how guys fit into style he wants to play. I like the uptempo style, but I am not sure he gets the limits and talents of the guys he has and how to fit them together. Like one of those thousand piece puzzles. Its there but what is the fastest and best strategy to make them all fall together. Not sure he has a clue. Suggestion start with end pieces, corners and group pieces with similar backgrounds. Steve Smith I think is a good start putting D pieces together. Need a better assistant for the forwards though. -
Mine are three fold. I think he will make rulings that will further degrade worker protections, the environment and further empower the imperial presidency which is part of my second fear. He is a political strategist and his decision making will be coordinated with the GOP and will be less about rule of law. Finally the dude is an obvious beer drinking alchy. I disagree with the first but that is a policy bias. The later two I believe especially the second disqualifies him from the bench. Alcoholism is personal and goes to his credibility... the guy needs help.

Would love to see breakdown of giveaways by Sabres

Reminds me a bit of Stamkos early on, had the same problem... he worked hard on it an now a decent defender.
-
GVA was the crucial nut especially in the offensive zone... led to 2 goals. One at least was on Jack.
-
Yeh but the Sabres were not getting killed by puck possession in first 2 periods... they were getting killed on the rush making defensive and offensive gaffs after cycling and then not shooting when they had chances
-
Bergeron/ Sobotka and or KO with ERod simple a checking line a la Luce/Ramsey and whomever...
-
Talent is there except one more top 4 D... Utilization is another matter.
-
At least Jack owned it, that’s a start.
-
Need to put Sheary down a line till he find his legs. But splitiing up Jack and Sam may be a good idea.
-
Z played decent... have OK sit or waive him.

Happy Birthday from the class of ‘64

If it was just last night, but the last couple preseason games looked a bit disjointed especially on sustained pressure in Sabres end. Gaining chemistry with new linemates is a thing. Sabres need to get off to a better start season wise if they have any hope of truly improving. I was hoping but there appears to be a lot of work to do.. sigh:(

That is why a guy like Chris Taylor interests me... Someone with some skill but played a relentless game. Seems to be a positive guy that is always pushing. Housley seems like too much of a sour puss on the bench. Good teacher, just not a motivator... Housley and his Vanek face needs to figure out how to motivate these guys. Chris Taylor intriques me, a talented but tough player, who seems to positively know how to push players. If last nights game continues Housley will need to go. Too much talent here to lay an egg that bad.
