Maybe if the Sabres won a few... but not after only one cup... If they were there regularly and won a few... yeh I have seen that in other cities, but Yankee fans only complain really when they don't win, when they do... they over analyze who should be play better and who they can buy off other teams that might make them better. Still point taken.. though in Buffalo if it was just the first one... doubt you would hear any complaints from Sabres fans.

Yes best to deal with college kids, studious ones... like math and science kids. And then you charge enough so they leave after a few years.

Sabres to play Lightning in Sweden 11/8 & 11/9
North Buffalo replied to Sabel79's topic in The Aud Club
Sarcasm... how many Swedes on each team... no brainer. -
He needs to move puck faster in D zone and put on the tape of breaking forwards. Seems confused on breakouts. Im ok with trading if Sabres can find a center and a young puck moving D a la Montour. But would rather move Bogo... Hoping Borgen and Pilut step up and Laaksonen goes to Amerks

They skated hard, unlucky bounce, incompetent D, Scandella cough, cough.... nice shot Nils.. need to move puck faster... puck on tape... puck on tape... good effort... common get rid of scandella and risto... Risto slow puck decisions kill me.... yo get yor head up an move the fin biscuit.

Dont care about Sabres position hope Sabres sendleaf fans into a deep depression.
-
Thinking about back end some more... I'd rather keep McCabe and Risto together... liking Montour and Dhalin together. Hope Borgen can step up next year with Pilut
-
With any luck JBotts can draft well this year and some lottery help plus GAs goals Sabres should take another step. Not sure i want Risto gone just in a lesser role. Love Donakoi idea and Miller second line center agree is a big if but combined with a further developing Mitts and would be a better balanced 3 lines

Lose for Hughes

Sabres need another forward puck carrier besides Jack. At this rate they may luck into one in the draft.

Housley is a young coach at the NHL level and it may take time for him as well as the team to take the next step. Question for me is can the Sabres stand to go thru the growing pains or will Phil need to bounce around a few times til he gets it, meaning not with the Sabres

Hoping St Louis loses and Rangers win
-
At least my beer league team won its championship 5-2
-
JBotts is not the problem. I do think Phil is. A more experience coach could have handled the rumored ROR issues and probably the Kane issues. Jack wanted captaincy but wasnt ready and a more experienced coach could have put him in his place... still think Sabres need a new coach, young guys need a proven strong leader.

I know Al Gore, worked for Al Gore... you sir are no Al Gore ? -
If you watched Toronto v Tampa the other night, Tampa came out hitting everything with a leaf logo, slowed them down, made their passing off target. Got a couple weird goals and that was the game. Super intense but sent Toronto a message. Gotta have both skill and toughness. Tavares was only guy who showed he could handle it in the first. Marner and Matthews looked lost.
