Is there an Aggressive GM developing inside Adams?
inkman replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Power & Dahlin’s contract extensions kick in next season. That’s a $12.5 mill increase from this season. UPL is due for a raise as well, anywhere from $3-6 mill depending on term. So they will have an increase of 15-20 mill based on those 3. I’m guessing Adams decided the team couldn’t afford Mitts with the impending raises. Maybe he also decided Casey wasn’t the type of player he wanted moving forward. I don’t know if I agree, just trying to dive into the mind of GMKA. Good teams keep the guys they want. They find a way. This team isn’t good and I’m not sure they know who they want. There might also be some buyers remorse with Dahlin, Power, Tage and Cozens. Maybe that is making Kevyn gun-shy. I’ve lost faith in this regime. I don’t think a new coach will fix all of their problems. They need a heart transplant. Can they do they if they move Power and buy out Skinner? Tage and Dylan make me nervous. I think Cozens has the desire, I’m just not sure he has the ability to make the difference. Tage on the other hand. I’m worried they hitched their cart to a broken horse. -
Yet we see other teams get away with crap like that against our team of figure skaters every game.

Eh $4 mill is more like average NHL salary.

Not exactly starter money. Curtis Samuel at $8 mill isn’t exactly #2 money either. I think the Bills will draft for both spots.

I’m not sold on him being the starter. Probably but not certainly.

Amerks prospects lighting it up

I worked at a company a few years ago. They always tried to consolidate management and have one set of managers run both the sauce operation and the booze operation. It never worked. One person can’t be that involved. You either focus 90% of your efforts toward the money operation (Bills/sauce) and leave the other 10% to neglect the lesser profitable business or you try to split your time evenly and end up managing nothing because you can’t do it with 50% involvement. It doesn’t work.

He can’t

He was exactly what I wanted every Sabre to be. Big, mean and talented. Looked cool af and was a ferocious fighter.

Sad. A year younger than me. Maybe he was doing something unhealthy that led to this but the rate at which NHL enforcers leave us early is harrowing.

He turned the Bobcats around?

Great write up including some notes about a forgotten prospect.

Thanks for the reminder. I thought for a second I could have an insightful discussion. Instead I ended up with a more ornery less knowledgeable version of my 78 year old father. Anyone who claims Diggs is a problem is just a lemming who is subjected to groupthink. I can probably also guess their political affiliations where they are also spoon fed their talking points by propaganda machines that disguise themselves as “news”. Yuck. See ya bud.
