  1. He’s a great finisher. I can’t think of another area of the game he excels at. His decision making is poor. He coughs up the puck on the PP with regularity. I’ve seen his teammates purposely pass him up for a pass when he’s wide open because they know the chances are good that the puck will go the other way. He’s just not a fundamentally sound hockey player. Great goal scorer. Don’t ask him to do anything else.
  2. I hear ya but the coaching staff was terrified to give him quality minutes. I don’t think that was all on them. Kulich and Rosen definitely played with trepidation during their call ups. It may be until next season before they get quality looks. As much as people don’t want to hear it, Olofsson or Jost may be the best replacements, at least for now.
  3. I didn’t want to comment on Strbak as I only know him by name. Saw the highlights from the WJT. Could be a good one but we may be waiting a couple seasons.
  4. I’m fairly current with the prospects. Out of the kids in Rochester, Rosen & Kulich are obviously at the top. Kulich is somewhere between Tage and Olofsson. Not sure how that’ll play out but he’s got a knack for scoring big goals. Rosen reminds me a little of Peterka. Great skater, good shot, good playmaker. Not a lot of jam but not afraid to go into dirty areas. Novikov & Metsa are their only D prospects. Metsa is an offense first type of D. Severely undersized. Bryson type. Novikov is acquitting himself quite well in Rochester. Probably another season away but he’s big, 6’4” - 6’5”. He’s not offensively challenged. Think a more offensive, more physical Samuelsson. Matthew Savoie is obviously undersized but is tenacious and could carve out a third line role. Noah Östlund will definitely compete for a 3rd line role when he arrives in North America. Not huge but doesn’t play small. I think the remaining prospects are long shots to make the NHL. Some size and grit in the later rounds but there is a reason they went late. The Sabres can and hopefully will shore up the bottom of the roster at the deadline (if they are buyers).
  5. Lots of discussion on JG’s value. I think this sums it up nicely.
  6. Here is Sydney Sweeney to make you feel better
  7. I agree. Hopefully they rotate Big Johnson & Joki dependent on opponent.
  8. They don’t have many, if any, players like him. I’m hoping there is another player or two like him to fill out the bottom of the roster.
  9. Yeah whether it’s the current state of the team or Skinners god awful play when he’s more than 10 feet from the net, this injury doesn’t phase me atoll.
  10. Please don’t give this guy any more clicks. Misogynist scumbag pig. Please please please.
  11. I hate NHL injury designations. So stupid.
  12. I’m almost certain this is a nothing move but for the love of the hockey gods, can the Sabres stop ridding themselves of every player in the org that has size and grit. Borgen Delauries Carrier McNabb Montour Hagel Lyubushkin Foligno Fasching Cederqvist
  13. What a weird way to conflate an old adage Quite frankly, I’m not sure the Sabres have anyone that can punch harder.
  14. More like farticle, am I right? Try the veal, I’ll be hear until the Sabres give up 2 in the first period, start questioning their PP size or how their daddy’s didn’t make them practice hard enough.
  15. Chewables? What am I, a dog? Edibles, FWIW, take me to places I sometimes regret. I’ve lost entire nights with the right (or maybe wrong mix) of substances. I only partake on weekends or special occasions. I'm actually feeling pretty indifferent about the team these days. But I do think the MW thing has ran its course. As someone who is overly superstitious, I couldn’t live with myself if I thought my actions could negatively impact a game. Even if it’s all made up in my head.
  16. I am blaming everyone who perpetuates this MW nonsense. I’m looking for any juju we can get, let’s eliminate something we can control.
  17. Glad you qualified that. It’s among my biggest pet peeves. Like who sent out the memo that “washed up” became “washed”. It sounds effining moronic. That guys washed. Really? You don’t say? Do you think he showers or bathes?
  18. He’s also significantly less talented than Cook.
  19. Great defensive coordinator. Fairly mediocre head coach without Tom Brady.
  20. But penetrational does
  21. At some point, hopefully soon, GMKA is going to need to figure out how to build a team. Tough decisions will be afoot.
