Check out the latest Sabres prospects tonight on AHLTV. Someone mentioned there was a free trial, unsure if that is still a thing. Everyone is aware of Rosen and Kulich but a couple new kids on the block are turning heads. Neuchev & Novikov have been noticeable. Viktor Neuchev has been scoring at a PPG pace since Kulich left for WJC, Novikov has been steadily improving and receiving more ice time.

Well you inadvertently stumbled onto the real issue. It’s the players, it’s the players, it’s the players. I don’t care who you get to tell them what to do, the horses need to run. Scotty Bowman, Lindy Ruff and Al Arbour could be on a staff and still not win. It’s never as simple as “hey this guy has won cups, he’s definitely going to show our jackass players how to do this”. It’s way more organic, right place right time kinda thing. If there was a formula, such as drafting players first overall 🤮, trading picks and prospects for players 🤮🤮, or signing the best UFAs 🤮🤮🤮, every team would do it. There just is no set way to achieve your goal. I have no idea if our current set up is ever going to get there. It’ll likely take some changes. It almost always does. Let’s just hope they get it figure it out before I’m dead. (Not placing any bets on that)

The Bills were a fluky fumble through the end zone of getting blown out. They may make the playoffs most years with Josh but until proven otherwise, this is the Chiefs conference. After dealing with Brady for 20 years, we now have Mahomes indefinitely.

Yep and the Sabres have fallen short in that department for 20 years. Not that I think it actually works but if the league actively promotes dangerous assault level penalties, I’m going to have 2-3 of those ***** in my lineup to ensure my team isn’t on the short end of ruining people’s future with CTE. You want all your players to be vegetables by the time their 50, lets lead the league in causing them.

Well the power play is the last place I’d look for speed. No one is going to generate 22 mph while skating 18 feet in the offensive zone.

Jack Quinn is my favorite Sabre since Peca. He’s got skills in spades. He is the stick that stirs the drink for the Cozens line. He may be the most talented forward in the team. I will be beyond furious if he isn’t a Sabre for life. I love me some Alex Tuch as well. He’s probably 90% of the player I wish he was, because if he had that other 10%, he’d be my favorite Sabre. I disliked Dahlin as soon as he was in the team. Then they got rid of the maloik, Krueger, and his game flourished. We all had a love affair with the Swedish phenom. Then we wanted more. He’s offensively gifted but for a 1st OA pick, there are holes in his game that are inexcusable. It seems like every other game he’s good for a lowlight of the week award. Just giving the puck right to an opponent that ends up in the net immediately. I’m hoping Power develops (soon!!) to take the reigns from Rasmus to free him up to be more offensive and alleviate some of the d zone stuff.

I never got the disdain for all things Genny. They make a fine beer. I’ll take any Genny products over the national macro brews like Budweiser.

All beer gives you the shits. Just like eating Taco Bell doesn’t immediately make me duece. These weird tropes that exist is folklore, people just perpetuate them do no good reason. As someone who spent a decade plus drinking 10+ beers a night, every morning, regardless of brand was an ugly scene in the bathroom. I don’t know if there is something in Cream Ale that affects certain people but I’ve never thought, wow my poops are way different and worth calling a special name after I drink this type of beer.

Well, if the league had any credibility at all, he’d be suspended for the remainder of the season. The hit is the exact example of what you can’t do. But this is the NHL, 3 game suspension incoming. How would the Sabres acquire Arber Xhekaj? He’s a 22 year old RFA. I’m guessing they aren’t going to just give him away. I’m not sure it would cost a lot but young cost controlled players are valuable. An offer sheet? Maybe a modest one, if they don’t love the player I guess they could let him walk. Otherwise it’s a trade. What prospect are you willing to see flourish in Montreal for the next decade?
