  1. Ok. The NHL average 6'1" 200 lbs. forward is still going to have their way with Peter Dinklage and Brad Johnson...er...Jacob Bryson and Zach Metsa. All I'm asking is for this team to behave in such a manner that doesn't seem counter intuitive with how the rest of the league works. This team can't afford to be the frontrunners on height challenged NHL defenseman.
  2. The problem being Both of them may be in the lineup. The Sabres already get laughed at by their peers on the ice to their face. What level of hilarity will the opponents engage in when the Oompa Loompa squad is out there trying to keep 6'5" 240 lbs monsters out of the crease. They will get eaten for dinner.
  3. The rage that sets in when I see the Doan Foligno comparison. For sake, we had Foligno and Borgen, and Hagel (sort of) and the Sabres just pissed those players away for no good reason other than sheer incompetence.
  4. The boat nonsense is right up there with the palm tree schtick. Not funny or interesting. He's a billionaire, he can do whatever he wants with his money.
  5. Metsa is in such lofty company as Brett Murray and Lucas Rousek... Maybe he'll be something. I'd have 0.0% issue if they didn't already have another mighty mite playing defense in the NHL. Did you watch Bryson get pitchforked into his own net on a routine net crash by Ottawa last game? Unless Zach Metsa is the second coming of Torey Krug I don't see the intrigue. The Sabres need defenseman with snarl, not platform shoes.
  6. I’m telling you it’s Adams thinking he’s being clever
  7. It’s Adams thinking he’s being clever sending Johnson down because he’s waiver eligible
  8. Not exactly tearing up the AHL. You’ve had this take on him for a bit. I’m glad he has a fan but I don’t see the allure.
  9. I’m assuming it’s Adams and his high level roster mgmt style
  10. Guessing they did the requisite, who doesn’t need to pass through waivers criteria, as flawed as that thinking might be.
  11. I agree. It’s why a lot of teams send out their muckers to stir things up a bit, rattle the boards, and get the crowd going. These are layups for an organization yet thus one acts like they’ve never been to a hockey barn.
  12. They’ve lost 3 of 4 games scoring 2 goals in the first 3. Have a positive +/- in that circumstance would be noteworthy.
  13. All the players interviewed as well as Lindy mentioned how they fed off the crowd’s energy. Just need them to harness it, recall it and use it at their will in the future. The in arena experience should also be focused on getting the crowd amped at home games. If Lindy isn’t feeling it, dress Geertsen to eat a few fists and get the crowd amped. This isn’t that hard.
  14. Are you Chad DeDominicis? He said the same thing. 🤣
  15. There is no indication, other than fabricated internet rumors, that Adams had to worry about job security for one second.
  16. @LGR4GM has been leading the charge that Dylan isn’t good at hockey. Fans still try to lump Cozens in with Sam and Jack as good players the Sabres shipped out. He ain’t them.
  17. Outside of Zach Benson and to a lesser extent Jason Zucker and maybe Ryan McLeod, we haven’t had forwards that play the game in the manner in which it’s supposed to be played. Engaged, aware, involved. We’ve had a litany of danglers, snipers and perimeter players that don’t have the chutzpah to play that way. It stems from drafting/acquiring only high end skill with no regard to players having moxie.
  18. The Sabres have too many players comfortable being food
  19. No worries. I’ve long advocated that I don’t need to hear anything Pegula and Adams have to say. It’s their actions that are meaningful but in lieu of things actually happening, I’m unsure what to turn to. Their words are meaningless, their actions speak volumes. Unless there aren’t any of note. Maybe inaction is the communication method. Ugh. Wake me up from this nightmare.
  20. As much disdain as I have for the current version of the Sabres, my brain won’t let me root against them. I have too much emotional equity invested into the team. The countless hours, day and months I’ve spent watching, following the team. I mean, it’s the reason Sabrespace exists. For us losers who can’t absorb enough Sabres content. I don’t care if I’m talking to some pantless weirdo who wants to see Terry Pegula write letters. Give me all of it!!
  21. Hat trick. Probably beats up Dahlin too. Dammit, beat me to it.
