So this is post about Buffalo Sabre Rasmus Dahlin, quoting a tweet about the Washington Capitals, in the Leaf game day thread? Am I the only one doing this?

Eakin had a good game?

He’s filthy. Hate to play against him. He’d probably be my favorite player if the Sabres acquired him.

I’m trying to contain my enthusiasm but I haven’t been this geeked about a prospect since Mogilny defected. Obviously, there was reason to be excited about Rasmus, Sam and Jack but the expectations were so high; those guys almost had no chance to live up to it. The Quinn pick was scoffed at by the Rossi fanbois. Seeing this kid surpass everyone’s expectation has been invigorating.

Literally anyone is better than Eakin. I’m hoping there is a GM out there willing to part with a smelly used hockey bag for him.

I had hope for Asplund. At his best he’s a decent bottom six forward. At his current level of play, yikes. R2 might be the very definition of a tweener. Just not good enough for the NHL but lights up AHL players.

Which is why the Sabres need to keep adding skill. Krebs, Power, Quinn, Peterka, will make a big difference. Make a trade or two to balance the roster and we got something. There are at least half a dozen players on the Sabres who aren’t NHL players.

I’m not sure how many times I wanna see him get walked in an NHL game before I think it’s too many but we are nearing that place. Casey and Jacob are not NHL defenseman.

I unfortunately took my family to see the game. This sounded fun.

I don’t marvel at all. He’s exactly the player we thought he was. The worst skater in the NHL. Hell, at least Hayden hits and fights. Eakin doesn’t even do that. If Adams had some input into signing Eakin, which I still dispute, they now have the guys on staff to laugh Kevyn out of the room if he asks any stupid questions like, should we bring in Milan Lucic?

Ralph was above Kevyn in the org structure. Eakin was his guy.

I know Kevyn was a party to it but Eakin was Ralph’s guy. Let’s not forget that important fact.

Hoping there are some hockey trades to be had. Maybe even get someone at the deadline we can pencil into the lineup next season. Team needs another vet or two depending on who they lose in the next 3 months

I think they were reading the headlines a bit. They stopped working and doing the things that made them competitive.
