I love the the league does this. It’s so stupid. Anything the NHL can do to make it less watchable I’m in favor of. Replay reviews, I want 10 a game. Penalties, meh, call when you fell like it or better yet when you’ve called too many on a team because they were actually committing penalties. That makes sense. The NHL sucks so hard at everything.

Because NHL coaches and GMs are ***** dinosaurs and value face offs at a level that blinds them to said face off specialist being terrible at every single other thing that has to do with hockey.
