Somehow, despite everyone in the family being huge Sabres fans, my in laws managed to schedule a bday party for a one year old at noon today. Thankfully I am recording the game.

Ugh. I know a lot of things go into schedule making but could this break coupled with a western road trip means for the majority of February, fans get to see this team play a handful of games unless you work B shift or something. Right when the team is making a playoff push with young stars in the making all over the roster and no one is going to see it. NHL gonna NHL.

As I often like to say, make it a pole, errr…poll.

Unfortunately, the majority of fans aren’t like us. Ok maybe fortunately. They don’t watch every game, know all the players height, weight and junior/college/Europe team. They catch a few games here and there. Watch the highlights, hear the breaking news. Those fans still need convincing. A guy like Kane moves the needle for them. They just don’t know he sucks now.

Until he’s on the ice for 15 goals allowed in 4 games. Dude is flat out garbage now. I wouldn’t trade anything for him. They would need to add something for me to take him.

I’d consider anything under $11 million a good deal. Under $10 mill would be a real bargain. Sounds weird saying that.

Next season I’m guessing he gets a look. With Kulich and Savioe, not to mention whoever they may bring in between now and then, to compete with.

I think I’d like to see Someone like Greenway take Aslpund’s spot on the roster pluggging him into the lineup when necessary. I’d say have him take Mitts spot but I feel like Casey’s role on this team is larger than what a player of that ilk would be. Who knows. I hope he fills out this roster with some jam.

Dog was up at 5:19 am pacing up and down the hallway. I googled if dogs can predict earthquakes and much to my surprise, they can in some circumstances. I wonder if she picked up sound or vibrations before we can sense them.

I tried fighting this battle years ago. I lost. People want to include unsubstantiated nonsense as if it came from Darren Dregger without any basis in reality. Because “it’s fun”. Sure it is.
