  1. Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. The owners can’t help reaching into the till when the register is open. No matter the consequences. They get $$$$ blinded. A league that continues to find new ways to piss off their current fanbase without generating any new fans.
  2. This is the fan perspective. GMs don’t think like us. He has to weigh prospect upside, organizational commitment to this player (a lot of time and money have been spent tying to get this kid to learn to man the crease professionally), and also organizational depth. They don’t have a lot in the system after the 3 currently on the roster.
  3. Correct. Contract year for him. No opportunity to even play regularly here.
  4. They don’t even use the word injury. Oh yeah he’s got an upper body. 🙈
  5. Here’s how I see it unfolding. Benson gets games 1-9, Savioe fully healed from injury gets 10-18, Kane signs before game 19, Olofsson traded once Kane is a Sabre. Although this doesn’t account for Quinn… Just so everyone knows, I’m joking, mostly…
  6. Honestly, I want every player to hit and fight. That isn’t going to happen in 2023’s NHL. I’ve come around, even since I posted this on July 10th. Kevyn knows the team needs toughness. He’s attempted to address it with Stillman, Greenway, Clifton and Erik Johnson. In today’s anti-pugilistic climate, that may be enough. Our beloved Dylan Cozens has taken on a papa bear sorta mentality on the team. I’d rather him not drop the gloves to rough up other teams goons. He’s too good for that. You can’t deny our team is almost entirely high skill, low physicality players. That’s fine…for now. I wish our role players like Girgs, Okie, and Jost were more like a traditional checking line with bruisers. I wish Alex Tuch would assert himself more physically as he has the physique. I hope Power incorporates more physical play into his game to make him even more effective. They have some big bodies but they aren’t traditional heavy players. They are high skill players. Might be good enough, at least for the regular season. I know Kevyn has his eye on it, so hopefully if they still get pushed around this season , he does more to address it.
  7. As much as I don’t care for Bart Scott post playing career, I loved that interview. Raw uninhibited emotion.
  8. Krebs finishing ability also come into question. I don’t want to label his shot as pathetically weak but it ain’t great.
  9. The Buffalo Sabres will be fine
  10. Poyer is out. That’s a problem. Can the Bills ever be at 100% when they need it?
  11. Love the song, loved the movie when it came out. Linda Fiorentino, my lord. This song really set the tone for season 1. Haunting…
  12. I can think of several from that movie
  13. So this song got me thinking about what songs have captured a moment in a movie perfectly. Love the movie, love the song. This song nailed it.
  14. I hear ya but the Bills can’t just waste high round draft picks. Being up against the cap, the Bills need to hit on draft picks to supplement the talent they are going to lose via free agency (Edmunds). Drafting a player that has had zero impact so far, is disheartening and an indictment of Dorsey. Like you said, it’s early but the returns so far are bleak.
  15. It’s tough to tell exactly what they have in Kincaid as his usage is either nonexistent or stupid (a bubble screen to a TE that was amply covered, WTF?)
  16. Small sample size but the 2 games Comrie started this preseason he hasn’t been bad.
  17. If he’s irreplaceable after 9 games I guess you keep him but as @LGR4GM mentioned, having his contract slide another year is somewhat important. So basically it comes down to is this kid important enough to your team winning now to burn that contract year.
  18. Outside of bringing in someone from outside the organization, I don’t think I’ve heard one person on this planet say anything different.
  19. I’d give him a season or two. Could be a nice Okie or Girgs replacement. He has size none of the top tier prospects have. There is a path for him. Penn St alumn. Was their captain. Terry swindled his old man outta money so he felt bad and asked Kevyn to sign him as a favor. Probably…
