Honestly, the drafting of Benson and the flourishing of Kulich and Rosen is going to make it seriously difficult for Biro to make it.

I like this based on the fact that’s he’s the ONLY RHD in the prospects camp. Doubt he makes it but it’s a nice sleeper choice.

As other have mentioned, it’s a little above average. Considering where they came from, it feels nice to see our boys on this list. I’m sure we had a few guys during the Eichel heyday (was there such a thing), Kane, O’Reilly, Reinhart to name a few but we can all agree that they are much more of a team than individual performers like that bunch.

The love for Kozak is spread wide, he’s fine as an AHL defensive player but forecasting him as an NHLer is tough. He has none of the offensive skill players he’s being compared to (Mike Peca 🤯) and he is also competing with players who DO have offensive talents. Players like Benson, Savoie, Kulich and Rosen are going to have problems cracking the top 6. One might, two if the Sabres are super lucky, then they start getting pushed down the lineup. It’ll be these guys plus Rousek and Mittlestadt competing for bottom 6 roles (I don’t envision it this season but definitely next season). That’s when this team will be stacked. Maybe Kozak’s defensive game is just far superior to his peers and that’s how he’ll carve out a role but his path isn’t free from Competition.

I don’t know if I know enough about Rosen yet to make this call but based on where he started last season (non-existent) but it would be a tremendous achievement (I know he’s a first rounder but man we’re there question marks).

I feel as though Jiri’s path this year is going to be heavily impacted by the Savoie / Benson fallout. If either one of them (or both 👀) make the team out of TC then Kulich’s path to the NHL will be impeded. I don’t envision that happening, ideally both players would end up in Rochester but we know CHL rules suck so that can’t happen.
