Breathless .... I will have to look for pictures I have from Lake Baptiste. My wife’s aunt and uncle owned a small cottage .. and we honeymooned there, penniless and rich beyond our dreams.

Bucket List! I’ll be in Niagara on the Lake this summer. I may watch the ponies at Fort Erie on my way up. I’m trying to figure out how I can convince my wife that Parry Sound is on the way to Niagara on the Lake. I’ve convinced others, in the past, on similar drives. I believe they were graciously indulging me.

Where God lives .. and I now spell Parry Sound correctly because you informed my catechism several years ago.

Blasphemer! Eddie Shore? The same Eddie Shore who missed a train to Montreal, borrowed a car, and drove to Montreal in a snowstorm so bad that he had to remove the front windshield to see? That Eddie Shore? I await challenges to Frank “Mr. Zero” Brimsek, Mel “Sudden Death” Hill, or any of The Krauts. My affection for the Bruins has deep, historical, roots.

Well, maybe I don’t speak it well, either. I intended to “giph” the angry mob, with torches, seeking out the person who said .... well, what you said. I can’t make my fingers type it. It has to do with Robert Gordon Orr, of Parry Sound, Ontario.

I thought Giselle’s jaw line grew.

For those of you cheering for Boston .. this pulled me right off that train (which had nothing to do with RoR, btw ..) Edelman dons jersey to support Bruins.

The circumstances around each of O’Reilly’s acquisition, time here, and departure are among the oddest in Sabres history. It’s like he and Buffalo intersected, and there was a glitch in the Matrix. Buffalo was the other side of Ryan’s Looking Glass, OZ to his Kansas. Where’s Flagg or IKP? I need a unifying theorem. Schadenfreude is a burden. Good for him ....

Not much demand for ROR factored into JBot’s evaluation of his own asset. I speak SDS.

tid bits, crumbs, glances, gleanings ... I like Jack’s reaction to Coach.

24 to 23. Handoff to Manny Fernandez while running out the clock. 6:20 mark.

My heavens ... your last sentence .... and here we are on a Sabres blog! Oh, why, indeed!

Sully has his style, his strengths and his weaknesses. As to the body of work, I've appreciated it over the twenty plus years. He's sort of like a medicine. I know there are aspects of the read that will burn going down, but I definitely want the cure! So, bottoms up. Now, as to the Skinner comments. I'm not a Cap-O-Logist. I have a little heartburn going $9 million for 8.

... nah, not for this situation. He might have gutted it out in some places, sure, but the vast majority of clubs weren't his comfy fit Blues. He quit a winning club cuz, well, he did ... not because he “saw this was an unsustainable aberration in loserville”. I admire he didn't play out the string for money. I predict he’ll regret lacking that certain characteristic of other professional athletes that allows them to play through adversity. He’s a talent without a go to work everyday mentality. It cost him $12 million. I hope he finds happiness. ROR, too, you say? Maybe its the franchise? Different stories, different records, different usages. Berglund and ROR aren’t evidence of any same thing.

Yossarian! Ah, SabreSpace ...

Watching Devo - The Complete Truth About De-Evolution on Netflix. See it! 1) What an important band. 2) Watch Mothersbaugh, below, and see Byrne some years later. 3) You can divide the word into two groups ... Devo touched you, or didn't.

Here’s to you kicking ass. Sorry to hear, NB. Good advice for check ups ....

Interested and grateful ... for me, it’s all about the travel schedule.

I know very little about Indy Car racing. That said, I am now watching a replay of yesterday’s race, quietly enjoying Foyt, Unser, Rutherford, Donohue, and Andretti memories. My impression .. there is a young American named Alexander Rossi who’s just fun to watch. At first, he was a little too demonstrative for my personal taste, (waving hands and fists at his pit team struggling with equipment problems), but he grew on me. A bad pit set him back, but he came out driving like a mad man, passing racer after racer. He waived his fist at competitor while passing! Twenty five laps to go. Rossi in second .... and possessed. Well, it’s finished .... wowza!

I recently discovered Chart Party on YouTube. What fun stuff. My first view ... Some interesting stuff, especially in this era of ascendent analytics.

To those who served and sacrificed, and to their families, I am grateful. We do good when we recognize all who serve and contribute on behalf of others. We’re at our best when we uniquely recognize the ultimate sacrifice and the rationale that makes the sacrifice so. Memorial Day reminds me that we’ll never surrender American exceptionalism to those who’d take it. Whether or not we surrender it to comfort, cynicism or naivety remains to be seen.

^ LOL. The FILMS, well, they're another story!
