WTF. This Montreal game sucks. Montreal fans are awful. Looks like the Lightning should just concede the series to the Habs because the league clearly wants them to win this series. I was pulling for Montreal initially, just to keep a Canadian team in the playoffs, but Montreal is dirty, the fans are cruel, and the NHL's bias are all on display this period and is disgusting.

The first period last night is typical of the "adjusted" Miller. His reactions seem slower, his positioning is off, and he seems unable to track the puck at times. It's a major adjustment for a guy who played the same way for a decade, but he was getting the hang of it as the game pressed on. Baptism by fire.

Something like that for sure. I noticed his style had changed since after the first week with the Blues. I thought it was maybe just the life upheaval, but it makes sense he was forced to change his approach. Explains a lot.

So refreshing to watch solid hockey.

He all but said Ott's name when he was describing the kind of vet they want to get over the summer. Maybe. But I think Murray is the kind of guy whose words you shouldn't waste too much time trying to parse. My guess is that the words just fell out of his mouth awkwardly. Murray is the kind of guy you judge based on his actions because, while he prefers to tell it like it is, when he does have to watch what he says the words are a jumble of a thousand thoughts.

Sounds like Leino is out, but Ehrhoff is staying. Murray will be looking to sign at least two big UFAs, but will keep Stafford. Didn't sound like there's a plan to help the top two lines, but they did say they need help with scoring (obviously). Murray described, essentially, what happened this season when he outlined "how to tank". I wish they would have talked about the "10 players will be gone" comments from the past several weeks. Sounds like they've had a little friction with the league over player issues, which I like. Unfortunately, though, in the end, I don't think we have anything to hang our hats on. We'll have to wait until the end of August to really have a handle on where this team is going next season.
