  1. Right. His fault was his pieces didn't work together too well. You can get a good player, but assembling a TEAM is, clearly, a different matter. This has to be part of the formula that we're not seeing in all of this activity. GMTM is trying to assemble a team, and it looks weird to us. Seriously, q.u.e.e.r. is censored? God.
  2. McDavid aside, that draft is supposed to be really hot, so the more first round picks and low second round picks the Sabres have for it, the better.
  3. What are we supposed to do, run over there and lynch him? He's the man right now, you have to hope he has a plan and it will work.
  4. I think the league ought to deduct points for being exceptionally awful. So, next year the Sabres are ranked -30.
  5. Also, yes, the Sabres aren't a playoff team, but you still need competent D men you can call up if there are injuries.
  6. The more I think about this, obviously the target was Neuvirth, and I think the goalie situation is in pretty good shape for the next season, at least. If this tandem works, then they can lock 'em both up for a few more years.
  7. This team is going to be awful.
  8. Parker Parker.
  9. I think I like that: A) it appears TB, TP, et al were not in the room, and B) GMTM is doing things his way. I guess at this point we have no choice but to wait and see if B works.
  10. If Enroth stinks it up, they need some insurance. Don't forget, the players aren't interested in losing.
  11. Maybe they're still trying to work out the fine print on the coupon he used.
  12. And Parker? Seriously? That name is there for effect only.
  13. TABULA RASA, people, tabula rasa.
  14. Well, remember, if you remove Moulson from the equation, and add up the picks and prospects, that is ultimately the return for just Vanek.
  15. Mitchell $1.9m cap hit with a year left. $2.5m actual salary.
  16. I'm sure that's what is blacked out in the War Room pictures, a back-end site for intra-league business, including transactions.
  17. You might want to look a littler harder at that picture:
  18. It's true! I removed the screen blurring!
  19. No, but what is interesting is that GMTM only has a pad of paper in front of him.
  20. This is probably the correct perspective. GMTM had a player in mind and went and got him. Poof, end of story for now.
  21. Chill out. That comment was for anyone who is concerned the Sabres may be dealing away depth at D.
  22. The Sabres are likely to reload D prospects over the next few drafts anyway. I like the move.
  23. Agreed. I think Nolan would want everyone on the ice, and I think the players want to proceed as "normal" as well.
  24. I like Nolan, but after his pressers since this weekend, and the last presser with GMTM, and, frankly, two Blues games, I don't know if I want him to coach the Sabres anymore. This morning's interview on WGR was a tiny bit better, but he sets the tone of the team. Look how frickin' happy Miller has seemed the past several days. If Nolan is going to walk around with his heart on his sleeve the rest of the week, to me that's too long. These players don't need a mirror of their emotions right now, they need someone to show them how to steel up and face adversity with confidence. Don't know...I'm still thinking this one through, I dig that it's been crazy for him and the team. As he says "it's been tough..." but he needs to snap out of it pronto or I really don't think he should make it past this year. All he is doing right now, to me, is reversing the gains he and PLF may have made in "changing the culture".
