  1. With the depth of the hole they're in, I can't see how they'll be appreciably better next season. With TN being a shell of his former self, the culture seemingly unchanged, and GMTM picking prospect types, where does anyone expect them to be this time next year? That said, OMG, I thought we've suffered bad seasons, but this...this kind of season I can't hack again as a fan.
  2. The Sabrez wouldn't look so bad if Ehrhoff played with some focus and passion. He looks brain dead out there. Oh, before the internetz jumps in and blows my statement out of proportionz, I'm talking only degrees of "so bad"...I'm in no way suggesting they'd be a wildcard contender if Ehrhoff, alone, were playing like he's capable of.
  3. I don't like saying this, but Ehrhoff needs to be moved just on principle alone. You can't mail in a season like he has with all of the youth this team is expected to have.
  4. Sabres old home days on NBCSN tonight.
  5. Youth. She likes you because of the choices you make, including clothes. Unless your inner d4rk wants to wear sun-dresses and pantyhone and Josie isn't into that sort of thing.
  6. Sadly, that's right where I'm at. Seems like the last several weeks of the entire season have dragged on.
  7. Life is too short to give a damn how other people perceive your dress. Just choose the clothes you want and wear them.
  8. FWIW, Murray, in the media, has been talking about dumping a lot of guys from this roster. It's a top down thing; the GM is telling you the current roster isn't worth keeping around - imagine if your boss was saying his staff is going to be turned around, how would the staff be collectively? Ideally, we'd like to think every person will respond with their best effort to try and keep their job, but realistically many people will not respond well to the pressure of a dark cloud hanging over them.
  9. OMG, seriously? McCabe gets slashed, no penalty, but the Sabres are called for that interference?
  10. Regular toilet time. Regular flatulence. Regular loses.
  11. Hodgson and Ehrhoff on the ice at the same time spells s.t.i.n.k. "Lee-ew-en" The officiating already blows.
  12. Maybe not AWESOME awesome, but I finally got a chance to see "Man of Steel" and I think it's as good a superhero flick as the original Iron Man or The Dark Knight. Pleasantly surprised as it was panned by the critics.
  13. O rly? It's at the beginning of this very thread.
  14. I read these arguments and it's like a bunch of BS. Are they not going to select "the best player" no matter where they sit in the draft? Of course they are, but the problem is the position in the draft. And why is the position an issue? Because if the position isn't "good enough" then neither are the players available. So it is ALL about who they select in the draft and in this particular draft it's all about McDavid. Deny it all you want, but there are two seasons worth of archived posts on the matter the majority of which advocate tanking in order to get the best chance at McDavid; you're lying if you don't admit it.
  15. giggity The refs DO know what interference is.
  16. Yup. AHLer. The refs makin' sure the Wings get their points tonight.
  17. The D was pretty good tonight through all pairings. Not one stood out as being "horrible" overall, and especially considering the competition. Leino stood out for turning the puck over several times and looking lost generally. But even his game, for what it is, looked determined. The Blues D is hot and did their job well keeping the Sabres anemic offense to the sides, for the most part. If the Sabres had any real scoring they may have won that game. By now, it should be relatively clear what the Sabres have, who they need to drop, and what they need to pick up. I don't think the D or the goaltending is the problem. They need offense that can maintain possession and take control of the play with far more consistency. The D guys can't always clear the zone by themselves; the forwards need to help out. Also, let's not forget that what makes a D look good is a competent offense. Once there's some legit scoring lines all other roles will look improved.
  18. Hodgson is still a slacker.
  19. Damn, every time I compliment the guy he gets scored on.
  20. Lieuwen has a lot of natural assets as a goalie that he already uses well. Give him more experience and coaching and he'll be a regular.
  21. He has proved that he is way more useful than most of the AHLers and fill-ins.
