  1. Can you help me find one, just ONE, cabinet department head that actually has the credentials and bonafides to actually head the departments they’re in charge of? Amateur hour.
  2. Just wait until all those GOP constituencies in various red states don’t get those critical up to the minute forecasts during tornado and hurricane seasons. Our weather service has literally saved countless lives over the years. Another in an endless string of beyond stupid decisions.
  3. I’m not absolving Power or any other player whose poor play contributed to getting scored on. But on three of those goals last night, it was Reimer vs shooter with clear looks and a goalie has to make those saves. His positioning on all three sucked. We haven’t gotten anything more than fair to middling goaltending most of the year and, while there is enough blame to go around, imo crap goaltending is the main reason we aren’t higher in the standings, regardless of the poor play in front of them.
  4. Another loss where goaltending cost us the game. Other than the fluky goal that bounced off Clifton, Reimer should have stopped the other three.
  5. Musk either needs to get off the ketamine entirely or quadruple his dosage. He’s insane.
  6. Glad you got good news with the Wall Street dip today.
  7. Some billionaires love it when the market tanks because that’s when they swoop in, buy low, and make a killing.
  8. Amateur hour continues with this bunch. It’s as if they have zero clue about who and what Putin is.
  9. A completely unqualified moron for the position he holds. Just an addle-brained former heroin addict who embraces any number of conspiracy theories at any given time. Another complete embarrassment for this current regime.
  10. Yeah, I linked the Forbes article above last week referring to those sudden deletions from the list. These phuckin’ idiots literally don’t know what they’re looking at in these systems. We are seeing a trickle of GOP congressmen starting to voice “concerns” with Musk’s agenda. If he phucks with that “ponzi scheme” that tens of millions of their costituents depend on, that trickle will become a tsunami.
  11. It’s ironic that cheeto man used the platform to “relitigate” the Russia scandal from 2016. I suggest that the big cheeto read the Mueller report and get educated on the sham investigation Trump claims it was. But then again, he doesn’t like to read and there’s no big illustrations for him to help him, so that’s probably too big an ask.
  12. I already knew what you think of the quality of the advice, which is irrelevant to the question asked you. You hope she brings charges so I ask again, what charges can she bring?
  13. Bring charges against them? On what charges specifically? Zelensky is free to seek advice from whomever he wants.
  14. At first I just dismissed your childish insult, “you sound like the libnut version of MAGA”, as just more hot air and paid no attention to it. But then I got to thinking about it and thought, “Old Hank is exactly right”, because I am the progressive version of the radical MAGA right. And damn proud of it. However, there is a huge difference between extreme MAGA followers and me and that is I don’t hide in safe little media bubbles where I can only see and hear what I want to, what I need to. I’m not afraid to see and hear criticisms of those I’ve supported politically, in fact I welcome the light that they often shine when they turn out to be proven true; true being the operative word. Nor am I afraid of seeking out alternative viewpoints because I realize the great educational value they often bestow. I welcome having my biases challenged unlike the extreme MAGA who seem take any criticism of their far right politicians personally. So thank you, Hank, for challenging me with your little dig and helping to shed some additional light.
  15. Malcolm Nance truly captures the feelings of many in this video. A former CIA operative who has spent much time on the ground in various trouble areas around the world, he has been in Ukraine both before and after the Russian invasion on the front lines offering his expertise in planning and logistics in their effort to repel Russian forces. The outrage he expresses in this video captures that of many who take their obligation to our Constitution seriously and who understand the vital importance of defending it from enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC.

  16. Wrong again.
  17. Um, this is CNN reporters telling the story, so it sounds like rather than lying they’re uncovering the truth instead. And I’m glad for that. Let me know when Fox reporters write a book exposing their coverups over the years.
  18. Yep. And thus the old adage, “I’d rather be lucky than good.”
  19. That’s why I responded to @Hank’s post with a laugh emoji. The idea that “the poisoning of Americans from illegally smuggled drugs stops now” is beyond absurd.
  20. DOGE quietly trying to cover that tracks of crap: https://www.forbes.com/sites/shaharziv/2025/02/25/doge-removes-biggest-spending-cuts-from-wall-of-receipts-heres-what-it-could-mean-for-doge-dividend-checks/
  21. His first impeachment was related to Ukraine, but the withholding of the aid committed by Congress was only a part of it. In a nutshell, he tried to bribe Ukraine in exchange for false stories about Biden. If you have the time or inclination, it’s all in the link below, but it’s a slog imo. https://www.congress.gov/116/bills/hres755/BILLS-116hres755enr.pdf
  22. In the absence of a qualified, professional medical diagnosis then yes, it is mis/disinformation based on nothing more than conjecture. Just as the many psychological diagnoses of Trump are by people trying to make political points. But people need to have their biases confirmed and they need to glom onto any opinion for sources that supports them. As a result, any honest debate on various subjects is rendered impossible. People point to Biden’s dismal debate performance as evidence of cognitive impairment but that’s been debunked as we learned he was actually ill at the time and a short time later tested positive for covid and underwent treatment. People should acquaint themselves with the difference between the natural slowing of thought processes as we age vs. cognitive impairment. While certainly slower than he once was, Biden is still not impaired.
  23. Yes, news should be vetted by us as I said. Just as this article by the AP was vetted by the reporters. You won’t find a far right article to contradict it anyway. Unless they go to the government source who provided the information to AP and they literally change the facts, which are a matter of public record. And we couldn’t disagree more on the rest of your take. Good idea to move on. But not every article by a reputable news source, confirmed by at least two sources btw, that we find uncomfortable to read because it isn’t favorable to a particular point of view is an editorial position. AP and other organizations owe it to the public they serve to report facts, especially when false information has been put out there as we’ve seen with DOGE time and time and time again.
  24. Trump continues to lie about the amount of assistance we gave to Ukraine as he keeps insisting that it’s $350b when it’s not even close to that. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/fact-checking-trumps-claims-amount-us-aid-ukraine/story?id=119167409
