One would think the Sabres would have their legs in the 3rd, but Calgary is the fresher team in the 3rd. Go figure. -
Lehigh Valley with the empty netter to clinch it. 4-2, Amerks lose.
-
Neuchev finally breaks the ice with a PP goal in the 3rd. Amerks down 2-1 with 15 minutes to go. And just as I post the score, Lehigh Valley scores to go up 3-1.

Sabres have taken control and I firmly believe we shall win this game. -
Donāt harsh my vibe. Outstanding.
-
RJ isnāt the best defenseman on the Amerks squad so it makes sense that Metsa is first in the pecking order.
-
Jordan Hancock has been getting snaps for several weeks now and I fully expect him to become our next Micah Hyde. Their career arcs are very similar.
-
Heās thrown that same pass to Coleman several times in the past, actually. Problem is, Keon too often fails to make the catch.

Two minutes for ungentlemanly behavior. -
Wahlberg with what looked like a 180 foot backhand empty netter (need to see the replay). Amerks win 5-3. EDIT: not a backhander, but a 190 foot wrister into the vacant net.
-
Helenius with a dart and the Amerks regain the lead 4-3 late in the 3rd. Amerks PK killed a 4 minute double minor a few minutes prior.

Welp. -
Iirc, he started the year with the Amerks. Iām donāt recall him playing in the ECHL at all.
-
Gotcha, thanks. Looks like Kuntar is trying to earn one.
-
Cover 1 reporting that Coleman is a healthy scratch tomorrow as the Bills activate Gabe Davis, Mecole Hardman, and waive Codrington. EDIT: meant to add that they also activated T.J. Sanders as well TE Keleki Latu.
-
We certainly have prospects in the AHL as do every other team but yeah, he may be destined for a career in the A. Regardless, heās taking advantage of his opportunity with the Amerks, especially in the absence of Ćstlund and Rosen.
-
Thatās interesting because early on in his struggles, Lehner had effusive praise for the team and the help they provided him. It wasnāt until after he left when he criticized the fan base for booing him and threw the organization under the bus for their lack of support. I will just agree to disagree on Lehner as I have nothing good to say about him.
-
I have to disagree about Lehner. The Sabres got him psychiatric help, including treatment for substance abuse to help with his drinking problem and gave him as long as he needed to get well.
-
Heās been a pleasant surprise. Even when he doesnāt make the score sheet, you notice his game. He hustles and seems to play the game the right way. But I canāt really say if heās a legit prospect until I see him in a game or two in the show. Iād bet that his maturity would serve him well and that he wonāt be intimidated in the least.
-
Great save by Leinonen in OT to give the Amerks the opportunity to go back down the ice and win it, 4-3. Fiddler-Schultz with game winner.

I can still hear Ted Darling saying, āPerreault winding up in his own end.ā And wind up he did with countless end to end rushes. Fun times. -

Gotta be bad to be havān Gavin. -
I gotta wonder if the PP wouldnāt be at least a little better if it werenāt currently missing four contributors.
