  1. I understand that completely but we’re gonna need decent people who understand what’s at stake and believe America is still worth fighting for. Like my dad and uncles and countless others of the greatest generation, decent people need to stay and take a stand. The idea of America is worth the sacrifice. I hope you’ll stick around if it gets to that point.
  2. I don’t assign any probability. And I don’t think it’s an extreme idea given Trump’s affiliation with Russian oligarchs and Russian mafia since 1987 as well as his pro-Russia, anti-Ukraine rhetoric.
  3. More bull$hit. Obama’s USDS was far different than Trump’s DOGE.
  4. I seem to remember lessons about a few European country leaders who felt the same way in the 1930s. It’s all part of the Project 2025 strategy. Our only chance is that our other Constitutional supports can hold strong.
  5. At this point, the best I can hope for is that our fighting men and women aren’t ordered to fight on the side of Russia if a peace deal is not reached because Europe, especially Poland and other NATO border countries bordering Ukraine, won’t hesitate to join Ukraine as allies and they will march across Ukraine before Russia can claim any more territory. Unlike Americans Europe, especially Eastern Europe, knows their history and has learned from it.
  6. I don't believe it for a second. Trump also said he would resume sharing intelligence with Ukraine as well. That hasn't happened.
  7. The grand cheeto just can’t stop lying. There is no end to the stream of pure crap he can pull out of his a$$. Last week, it was we “subsidize” (whatever the phuck that means) Canada to the tune of $100b a year. Today it’s $200b. Stop lying to the American people you fascist phuck!
  8. To Von’s credit, he renegotiated a new deal after the first two injury-filled years. Everything is a risk when you get right down to it.
  9. Miller was a homerun right up until he got hurt and became a shadow of his former self. Bosa is an availability risk for sure.
  10. I hear that. Unfortunately, twitter and sites like it are too popular a way for our challenged attention spans. All it takes is a read of a tweet and you’re fully informed. Kelly’s response on twitter was the only way to get gruppenfuhrer Musk’s attention because Musk doesn’t avail himself of other outlets. Kelly is an adult but sometimes we have to speak to children like Musk in ways they can comprehend.
  11. Would you like nothing fries with that? Can we talk you into a norhing meal deal?
  12. He doesn’t get paid if he doesn’t play and the Sabres don’t have to terminate his contract and let him become a free agent.
  13. Musk is a disgusting human being. He had the nerve to call Senator Mark Kelly, a former Navy pilot and combat veteran, a “traitor” because he visited Ukraine and had the nerve to say Trump needs to resume military aid among other things. Kelly’s retort was fantastic. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/elon-musk-calls-mark-kelly-traitor-support-ukraine-rcna195738
  14. Great route runner, great hands. The scouts have liked him a lot. Imo, he got stifled in Harbaugh’s more conservative offense but that 15+ yards per reception the last couple years is nothing to sneeze at.
  15. As a percentage of team's cap space allocated to QB contracts, Josh's deal ranks 13th in the league. In that very important sense, he's already middle of the pack.
  16. All these extensions have created a lot more cap space for 2025. Beane has room to maneuver.
  17. Norris and Cozens with hatties for their new teams because it’s uncanny how often newly acquired players play lights out in their first games with new teams.
  18. I know, it was a follow-up to your response to Night Train. I was agreeing with you entirely. Apologies for any confusion.
  19. There are offsets, so when a fired coach gets another HC job at a salary equal to or more than the one he was fired from, the team that fired him is off the hook. But fired coaches like Ralston, Nolan, Bylsma, Housley, Krueger, and Granato who don’t find such a new job and there is tenure still left on their deals, the Sabres continue to pay their full salaries or any difference in salary until their deals expire.
  20. Cost overages are estimated to make the revised cost for the stadium $2.2b, or $800m more than the original $1.4b. Pegula’s equity sale netted him over $1b, so even if he doesn’t access other streams to cover cost overruns, he’s still got $200m to put towards additional costs above that $2.2b. The Bills are seeking a $650m debt waiver from the league, which will assuredly be approved and the projected $225m in PSL sales is now expected to be revised upward. All of this means that the cost overages are already covered and then some. Pegula is simply not hard up for the money and doesn’t need to penny pinch the Sabres to cover his new stadium obligations.
  21. Nobody likes and respects Ruff more than us longtimers, but I have to agree entirely. Lindy is coaching an entirely different player today than he was a generation ago. He still has a firm grip on the game and how it needs to be played imo, but his ability to get players to buy in appears lost. Time for new, younger blood from the top down, but I suspect Pegula doesn’t want to pay the price any longer. I mean how many ex-coaches, GMs, and players remained on the payroll after they were dismissed? I’ve lost track over the years.
  22. I’d much rather he resume sharing intelligence with Ukraine, resume giving them military equipment and other aid, and convince Musk to resume Starlink service to the Ukraine military.
  23. Of course a better D group will help, that’s obvious. But I get tired of people (not you) saying fix that and the goaltending will be better. That’s only true to a point. We could have six All Stars on the blue line but that won’t make our goaltenders better technicians between the pipes. I’ve seen too many goals against where it’s goalie vs shooter with clean looks and our goalies are out of position. And their lateral movement can’t be any worse at times. Just not enough stops at those critical moments so we need good goaltending, regardless. UPL seems to wear down from over use, which is gonna impact his mechanics, so I’d make him a backup who can give you 25 games or so while a quality starter takes that job.
  24. Calling this administration “dumb” is an insult to dummies.
