The new stadium overages have been offset and then some by the equity sale of the Bills alone and Pegula doesn’t need a dime of Sabres money to meet his cost overrun obligations for the new stadium. I think he simply doesn’t give a crap about the Sabres, simple as that.

UPL is a 25-30 game backup NHL goalie. He is capable of hot streaks but also capable of cold streaks. He lacks stamina to be a full time starter and I attribute his poor mechanics on fatigue due to overuse. This idea that he is simply a victim of the poor play in front of him is just an excuse. Yes, the play in front of him outright sucks and we need better players, but two things can be true at once: our defensive play sucks and UPL isn’t good enough, either. Just not enough key saves vs. wide open looks at opposing shooters. And his lateral movement is a liability as well. We need a bonafide NHL starter between the pipes and Levi ain’t ready yet and needs another full year in the A, imo.

That would be two things about Ottawa. -
Mike Johnson Floats Eliminating Federal Courts
K-9 replied to K-9's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
He won’t get the support required by the rest of Congress. But Hawley’s point about packing the courts with more conservative judges is a reality. It’s shameful that Hawley used the term “republican judges.” -

I only switched to the Sabres at halftime of the St. John’s/ Arkansas game. March Madness will always be my favorite sporting event anyway. -

Join the club. It’s been a very liberating experience. Watching them with total detachment is much more healthy. -
Will the third time for Atlanta be the charm?

Yes, we have different ideas about what matters in America and have since our inception. But EVERYONE could agree that the Constitution and rule of law are paramount. Indeed, they have always been what makes our disagreements manageable. What’s changed is that a certain faction no longer believes that we shouldn’t have a convicted felon and sexual abuser hold the highest office in the land; a person who conspired to defraud the United States and disenfranchise 81 million voters. A person who fomented an insurrection. Integrity was the bare minimum requirement for the office, regardless of our differing opinions on what else matters, but no longer. On another note, a dictator is ALWAYS a bad thing in our representative republic democracy. Indeed, dictators are antithetical to that very idea of our Constitution.

No, he’s Kim Jong-IL. They actually reported on N Korean news that he shot seven holes in one the first time he ever golfed. I suspect Trump isn’t above similar bluster.

His cheating on the golf course is legendary. I’m not surprised as the old saying that golf reveals character certainly applies to that lying sack of cheeto dust.

The Sabres Lead the League in Penalty Minutes
K-9 replied to Porous Five Hole's topic in The Aud Club
Yes! At last, league leaders in something! -
Did you know that Trump once shot 15 holes in one in a row?
-
Nope, no similarities here. Goebbels would be so proud.

Sabres announce signing Jacob Bryson to one year 900k extension

He’s an 8th Dman to be used only in an emergency. At best. -
If you don’t see the similarities in ideologies and tactics between 1930s Europe and the far right agenda being implemented in the USA today, then you don’t know the history of the fascist movements in the last century as you claim, you refuse to see the similarities, or both. Either way, it’s incumbent on those of us who do know the history, who can see the similarities, and who refuse to wait until it’s too late like the weak citizenry and politicians of appeasement who just stood still and just watched it happen in the past. If you think we’re loud now, you might want to plug your ears in the future. One side note: it’s curious how Trump’s father and grandfather attended Nazi rallies in New York in the 1930s and openly supported the German American Bund and their various youth camps modeled after the Hitler youth camps. I wonder if any of that rubbed off on little Donald. I mean other than the blatant racism he’s exhibited over the years.

No emotion on my part. Just an intelligent knowledge of history, an ability to read their agenda and apply their actions to it, as well as recognizing something as plain as day. I can’t help it if you are ignorant of 1930s Europe and the strategies and tactics used by far right fascist authoritarians in several of those countries, including those used by the Nazi party in Germany. If anyone is emotional, it’s you as my use of the word “nazi” seems to trigger you. That’s not my problem. Feel free to resort to your usual snark now.

Trump has been on the Russian payroll since his visit there in 1987 with his first wife, Ivanka. He had already had several bankruptcies and US banks would no longer lend him money, which he was extremely hard up for. Enter Russian oligarchs and known Russian mafia gangsters, who conveniently rented apartments in Trump Tower in Manhattan. Trump used to brag about how he never had to use his own money in business, but bank loans instead. Overnight, his business went from a credit model to a strictly cash model. They had to muzzle Eric because he bragged about that fact. It’s also worth noting that the first time Trump publicly criticized NATO was after that 1987 Russian visit. Only idiots think that is mere coincidence.

He didn’t. And this has been known since he was shackled, put on a plane, and deported. Begs the question: how many other non-gang affiliated deportees were on that plane? It’s a legitimate question and you should be thanking that judge for requesting additional information from fed prosecutors (that they refused to provide) instead of labeling him a left wing terrorist sympathizer who is ok with terrorists staying in America.
