  1. I think this is far closer to the reality. GO SABRES!!!
  2. And it's not like Israel hasn't launched strikes against the nuclear capabilities of other countries in the region like they did against Iraq in 1980. They may want our blessing to attack Iran but they don't need our help. Their military is highly capable. And there isn't another military in the region that poses any credible threat.
  3. Can a three game stretch count as a "moment?" Because that three game stretch in Anaheim, San Jose, and Vancouver after the trade deadline was really fantastic. Particularly the GDTs with people sacrificing sleep to stay up late to watch three really intense games. Miller standing on his head, grit, and just plain old hangin' on at the end was great. GO SABRES!!!
  4. Same here. Although I've never declared a party affiliation, I've voted both parties over the years depending on the issues and at what level (local, state, national). I can no longer support ANY republican candidate in good conscience given the blatant bullsh*t in their efforts to silence the will of voters in so many states in the country. We should all be pissed because ALL of our votes have the potential to be co-opted if they are allowed to make it up as they go. Shameful.
  5. No. It's a state issue only.
  6. Let me see if I have this right. In 2004 the state of Ohio has problems with long lines at polls. So, in 2008, in response to this and wanting each of their citizens to have as good a chance as possible to exercize their right to vote, in 2008 they allowed longer voting hours to accomodate the voting masses. By all accounts, it went far better than in 2004. Way to go Ohio. So what do they do in 2012? They revert back to the old system and sumarily disallow expanded voting hours. I wonder why. These p*ssies are shameless.
  7. That's why it doesn't matter to me one way or the other how these idiots try to split hairs over the issue of rape, forcible or statutory. It's a ridiculous argument no matter how they try to couch it.
  8. Statutory rape only pertains to the age of the victim. The idea being that minors aren't able to make informed decisions and those laws exist to protect that lack of maturity. Some statutory rapes may indeed also be forced. To me it's splitting hairs no matter how you slice it. And I never got the impression you were defending it. I appreciate your trying to shed some light and better inform me on the issue.
  9. The issue is unwanted pregnancy as a result of ANY rape, regardless. But it doesn't surprise me one bit that these idiots would seek to split hairs over the terms. It ain't their boys usually. Way more often than not, it's the boy of someone else.
  10. Wow...just, wow. Just as bad is the correction he made from "legitimate rape" to "forcible rape." As if there is any other kind? That really isn't surprising. Guys like Akin have always cared far more for the in utero fetus than the a baby after birth. Let alone a toddler, young child, adolescent, and adult person.
  11. Shocked, but not surprised really. It looks as though he was having problems making the transition to 43 DE. There have been reports that he wasn't winning his share of one on one battles in camp. And he's certainly been mediocre in the scrimmages. More than anything, Kyle Moore has impressed and it may just make more sense to invest in the younger player with higher ceiling at this point. I hope Merriman can catch on with another team. It will probably have to be a 34 team but who knows. I think waiving him now gives him a better chance to catch on. I wish him luck. GO BILLS!!!
  12. That's refreshingly honest. I've voted both tickets on all levels for as long as I've been voting. Depends entirely on the issues I feel most important and who I think best able to address them. I just don't understand why those republican machines in various states like PA, don't spend more time on converting hearts and minds in those districts where they don't get as many votes as opposed to trying to marginalize them instead.
  13. Didn't the honorable Mike Turzai, State Representative of the State of Pennsylvania, remove all doubts as to the motives for getting this law on the books in PA? If he would have kept his mouth shut, there would at least be a doubt. But, like Twain said, he opened his mouth and removed all doubt. That said, it's incumbant upon anyone concerned about disenfranchisement, to step up the efforts to assist those who need this new ID. It's not impossible, just a bit arduous. And those who passed this law with the idea that the sanctity of the voting process needs protecting, should be leading the charge to do just that. But somehow I don't think we'll be seeing Tarzai and Co. taking the lead on this.
  14. Hey, did the Bills win the SB?
  15. Absolutely. These wonderful vanguards of voting in PA should be doing everything in their power to ensure that those legally able to vote, can. Not the other way around. But they are a bunch of hypocritical p*ssies too afraid of hearing the voices they don't want to hear. So they had to stifle those voices. I just wish people would spare me the sanctimonious bullsh*t about why the ID law was enacted. At least Tarzai didn't hide behind it.
  16. There is nothing peculiar about it at all. PA voted democratic in the last two presidential elections. That had to be fixed. Mike Turzai and the rest of the gutless wonders too afraid of the will of the people saw to it. I'll give him credit for not hiding behind this bullsh*t idea of protecting us from voter fraud. He came right out and admitted why they did it. That's more than I can say for his fellow gutless wonders.
  17. That is an excellent point. GO SABRES!!!
  18. Outstanding list. I'd be quite content have nothing more than these on my deserted island. Oh, and a DVD player. And electricity.
  19. I think the Romney is more expensive simply because it's made of a much more dense material. I also heard it was made in Mexico.
  20. My advice for anyone wishing to invade and take over America would be to come draped in a flag and humming the national anthem while carrying a bible. We'd never suspect a thing.
  21. Chan and the coaches coming out in a hurry-up, no-huddle with an empty backfield and five wide had far less to do with Fitz than it did with them throwing Glenn and Hairston to the wolves to see what they've got and, just as importantly, needing to evaluate what they have in all the receivers not named Stevie Johnson. GO BILLS!!!
  22. Or you guys could just go slumming and join us on TSW from time to time. Is there a reason so many folks on this board won't be caught dead over there? GO BILLS!!!
  23. chz may not have a penis, but she has balls. GO SABRES!!!
  24. Working the refs. As old as officiated sports. I like the attitude of the Canadian team's coach. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/olympics--abby-wambach-s-brains-proved-to-be-big-assist-to-u-s--women-s-soccer-s-comeback-against-canada.html GO SABRES!!!
